The best furniture wax!
I refinish & antique furniture. This is my favorite brown wax. The consistency & color are perfect. It’s easy to control the color because you can either wipe lightly or hard to determine the final look. It also provides a matte protective coat. Absolutely love this product. There is almost no smell as well. I don’t need to wear a mask when applying. I always wear gloves of course.

Works great, buttery smooth, deepens color
It has a smell that’s like shoe polish, as another reviewer mentioned. It made me wonder if it is, in fact shoe cream? It deepened the color of the chalk paint I used on one project, and deepened the color of the milk paint that I used on another, and it left a very slight satin finish, which is wonderful. I like that look of old painted antique items that has a bit of a sheen, not too much, just that hand worn sheen that comes with use of wood items over time, like old rake handles, old kitchen wood handled items…trying to recreate that with newly painted objects is a challenge for sure. All three pics are painted/distressed items that I have transformed with paint, sanding and this product as a topcoat. I used some on a little rusted metal container, it darkened it, but pleasantly so. I like the dark brown cast of this, it looks super grotty and old. The wax is a very fine silky paste that gets in the crackle effects of some of the painted objects that I enjoy working on. It really highlights those “defects” that I adore. Love this stuff, I will definitely keep this one handy.

It’s a great stain
This is a great stain. I use it almost every time I do my crafts. I actually dip my fingers in it and rub it on to give whatever I’m working on a rustic age look it’s very good. It’s very nice.

Good product but amazon shouldn't sell used product
Product worked well though would be nice if ppl didn't return used product and amazon resell it as if it were new/unused product... could tell that the container had been previously opened and used 🙄

I should have done it sooner!
So easy! I’ve thought about doing this for years, but thought it would be more complicated. I put 2 to 3 coats on because I wanted it darker. If you make a mistake simply wipe on more paste and immediately wipe off with a clean cloth. I messed up the top by trying to be too perfect. I had to “erase” the entire top. It was an easy fix. This is a dark to medium brown shade. I used it over cream colored Jungarian wood furniture paint. I love the results!

Awesome Product
I read the reviews before I purchased and for me, this wax did not dry too fast at all. I put it on with a wax brush in a circular motion pattern in a small area, waited 3-5 minutes per instructions and wiped off. Came out exactly as I had hoped. I waxed the next area while I was waiting for the first to dry. I laughed at the reviewer who said it looked like she rubbed dirt into her paint. That's a little of what it's supposed to look like. It's meant to antique and highlight texture and it does both wonderfully. It does have an odor going on, but I liked it - like orange oil. It finishes with a nice satin sheen. One thing I will mention - this is the first time I waxed anything and I thought the wax would darken the areas I antiqued - it really doesn't, so if you have a light wood, know this in advance. I ended up painting over some of my scuffed areas before waxing.

Best Replacement for OOP Dark Wax
It’s not an exact match for Howard’s out of production dark wax but it’s pretty darn close. I’d buy it again even though I’m sad I can no longer get “the good stuff.”

I ordered this to wax a baby changing table I had done a repurpose on for our nursery in green chalk paint. I love how deep and rich the color is. It is extremely soft and dries pretty quickly, so be mindful of that. I’ve worked with other waxes over chalk paint before and this dries and cures MUCH faster than anything else I’ve worked with. I applied it for this project using a chalk paint/wax round brush and we waited a bit for it to debut before adding more and removing in a circular motion. If you mess up and need to remove, adding more will soften the existing wax enough to get any excess off the project. It is not incredibly dark like some waxes and it’s pretty forgiving. I do like that the quick dry time equals a relatively quick cure time as well! Pictures included for reference.

No me encantó, creo que el color crema sobre el que lo quise usar es muy claro.
