I tried another product similar to this and it would not fully charge my phone overnight while I was using my phone as white noise and alarm. Then I tried an alarm clock/speaker/charger thing and it was unable to wirelessly charge and to play sound thru bluetooth from phone at the same time. Then I tried this product. Third time's the charm. It works well at the bedside. the footprint is smaller than some alarm clocks. It does have two lights on the front, one to indicate connection to bluetooth and the other to indicate wireless charging. They are both green when my iPhone is charging and connected to bluetooth. They do not blink or anything, but are a little bright. If they were too much, I would consider covering them with electrical tape, but I haven't felt that necessary. The only feature I can't get to work with my iPhone XR is the NFC connection. My phone has it, but doesn't seem to connect this way. That is not a problem for me as it is pretty easy to connect with the bluetooth. As this is mainly a sound machine for sleeping, I am not that concerned about sound quality from the speakers. It is more than adequate for my needs. UPDATE - one thing I forgot to mention is that the connection to bluetooth isn't automatic once you leave the area and return. And when you connect to bluetooth, there is a fairly sound ding dong noise. This is an inconvenient feature if you forget to connect to bluetooth and your partner is already asleep. I wish it didn't make any noise upon bluetooth connection activating. So that is the only downside I have found so far.

Had it for about 6 weeks now. I was looking for a wireless charging station since I have two different phones that require different charges (S7, S8+). I also wanted a speaker and I wanted the phone to sit vertical so I could see the screen...so, when I saw this, I jumped on it! Thus far, it has been amazing. It charges both phones flawlessly. Both of my phones are in an Otterbox and I have no problems with either charging. Charge is quick, doesn't heat either phone. The screen sits at the perfect angle to view with charging. But, the biggest surprise is the quality of the speaker. Now, I'm not saying it's the most amazing speaker ever, but I am saying that for the money I paid, bundled with the other functions, I was not expecting this high of quality in speakers: the speakers are very good for the money, bass is super clear, and total volume is pretty loud. My only complaint is that I didn't buy this sooner!

Great sound. Fast charging. The only thing I do not like about the speaker, it is extremely loud when you first turn it on even if your phone is turned all the way down. No volume control, you must use phone volume controls. I wish it would disconnect with in coming calls, but you have to unplug it to answer a call.

A small size as well as a very large speaker and charging station.

The speaker is easy to connect using Bluetooth, and it sounds great. I like to crank my Christian rock really loud to indoctrinate my heathen neighbors downstairs, and this thing really does the trick. All day and all night for several weeks now. They're starting to come around, I think, because when I turned it on this morning at 5:00 I heard my downstairs neighbor call out to the Lord by his name. You're welcome.

I bought this to replace an older iPhone nightstand charger/speaker that I had for almost 10 years. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was not wireless. Both the charging and music went thru the Lightning port. The main reason I bought it was also because I wanted to be able to lay my iPhone on its side while still charging and playing videos, which this device DOES do, horizontal playback while still charging. The sound connects nearly instantly every time via Bluetooth. As does the wireless charging. The device has two blue/green LEDs to note connection with the speaker and charging. The speaker LED is blue when it's ready to pair and green when paired. The charging LED is only green when it's charging, but it will occasionally flash blue for no reason. Not defective, they just used a dual color LED for both without needing it. Then there's the so-called NFC function. It's not just that it doesn't work, the device simply does not have this functionality. I'm guessing that the original design was going to include it, hence the NFC label on the top, but it was quickly abandoned as unnecessary. And the painted label just wasn't removed. Even the broken English instructions say the NFC chip is 'to allow faster Bluetooth connecting' which makes no sense, as that's not something that NFC does. Doesn't detract from the unit's function, just an amusing design mistake. The unit's speaker will function as a speakerphone for calls if you set your phone to route the audio thru it, I guess, but I don't use this. The main issue with this unit, and the reason I only gave it three stars, is the unit's sound quality. It's just not very good. It's fine for use as a speakerphone, and I find it adequate for watching TV shows and movies on a tiny phone screen while laying in bed, or as a white noise machine, but it's no good for music. Other reviewers have said it has no bass or has no highs etc. It just doesn't have decent fidelity at all. It's like listening to music playing on an old AM clock radio. So if you're looking for a stereo system for your smartphone, look elsewhere as it's not suitable for use as that. Given its poor audio quality I'd say it's a little too expensive, but I'm keeping mine as it does what I need it to do.

2 month past return time. Keeps c loosing connection at night with phone docked. Restarted same thing. Tried restarting on phone, Bluetooth restart. No real gelp.....
