Okay, I will admit I bought this cleaner CD as a last ditch effort to save my 1997 audiobox five cd changer. I had little to no hope that it would work but after reading some promising reviews, I decided what the heck I may as well give it a shot, it isn't very expensive and the worst thing that happens is it doesn't work. I must have tried to run the cd through at least ten fifteen times between track 1 one 2 and it didn't seem like it was doing anything. I skipped it to my music cd, and it sounded like it was going to fly right out of my cd changer it was vibrating the whole unit so bad, which I thought was odd because it did not do that before. So I thought, okay, well, the cleaner must be doing "something"! I followed another reviewer's advice and let track two run for a bit. I actually forgot about it after I went downstairs and to my shock and delight when I came back to it, when I skipped to one of my music cds, it started playing! I about cried! Buy the dang CD... IT WORKS!!!

Bought this to send to a friend. However, he moved and I do not know his address. I have older models of these and now I use this one to clean the CD/DVD players I own. I have over 3000 CD's and many DVD's. This is a crucial item you need to keep the sound quality and longevity of your disc collection in top shape. If you do not have one, then get one. This one is high quality and does it's job, even though you really cannot see it's work unless you have some very dirty disc, shame on you, and need to fine tune the cleaning. This is not a vacuum or wet mop, it is a fine particle cleaner. Again, get one if out do not have use on on your players. Maxell is a long time audio/visual maintenance product line and this particular item has the small and large brushes to clean

Like others have said, track 3 doesn’t have any sound and the instructions don’t say how long it runs. Track 1 has music and the instructions say to skip to track 3 when the music stops. I did that. The disk was spinning on track 3 so maybe it’s supposed to run for a long time? Track 1 ended pretty fast. I used it on two boomboxes. One just said “No disk”. It wouldn’t read a disk before I tried to clean it, so I can’t say anything about that one but the other boombox no longer skips.

My old TASCAM Commercial CD player has worked well over the years. Recently it has stopped at different points during play. I was about to tear into it and then thought maybe the lens is dirty so ordered this disc cleaner. I ran it through 2 cycles once the disc error was finally resolved and no more problems. I encountered a problem that I can't explain. When I first tried it on the player it would not work and gave me a "Disc Error". I tried it on another disc player and it worked fine then tried it again on the TASCAM and it worked great and no more stopping during play. The instruction with the disc is not correct as it goes immediately to track 1 in English then when instructed to go to track 3, the process is finished. An additional unexpected benefit is the audio output is several dB higher to my amp so I had to turn the volume down on the amp. Well worth the price to correct a problem.

REVIEW REVISED: After posting a 5-star review saying that this product worked wonders on my stuttering/skipping Boss Wave CD player, I discovered that the fix was only temporary. The next time I used the CD player, it was skipping again. I used the cleaner disc again, and it seemed to work, but the next CD didn't play. There must be something else wrong with my unit so I can't fairly rate this product. I had to give it 3 stars in order to revise my post.

WOW! This product worked great. My Bose Wave radio with CD player was left in our garage for 4 months as we recovered what we could from our home after Hurricane Helene storm surge flooding. It got very, very dirty and would not play any CDs. I tried another highly rated CD player cleaning disc which helped, but did not fix the problem so that the system would play CDs after several cleaning process attempts. I then tried this product on and it worked superbly on the first run. EXCELLENT PRODUCT! Saved us a very expensive bill to take the system into an electronics shop to have the CD player cleaned.

I bought this cd because all of my cds was skipping in my cd player.and I assumed it was dirty inside the player I put this in player now none of my cds skips.its a value for your money

Easy to use. You have to do it a few times if it's been a long since you have cleaned your DVD player.

Considering this came to UK from the USA, it was reasonably swift. The product worked fine and my Bose is now playing CD's much better.
