Great Barcode Reader
I bought this to replace a corded barcode reader for my M1 Mac. I use it in conjunction with FileMaker and it does a superb job. The scanner is lightweight, easy to hold and features a blue light on top to indicate that it's ready to scan and has both auto off and a barcode command to turn it off immediately. The trigger button has a quality feel to it. It is recharged via a USB-B port (the connector type you find on most printers and scanners). Mine can handle several hundred scans a day and only goes down 1% in power (battery level accessed via a barcode command). It comes with a USB-A to USB-B cord for charging. The scanner wirelessly connects to your computer (or other device) via a USB dongle, similar to what many wireless mice and keyboards use. It's more in the shape of a large flash drive though. The width is somewhat wider than a typical USB connector so if your USB ports share a tight space you may have to put it on the end or make space for it. I have mine connected to a powered hub. The dongle has a blue light to indicate it is functioning. (See my photo for size comparison to flash drives and Logitech Unifying Receiver... scanner's dongle is at top of image with opened cap.) The scanner comes with a frequently-used barcode command card in the style and material of a credit card, which is handy. The 38 page user manual is filled with other barcode commands like switching between barcode types, changing the sound level of the beep, manual/continuous, duplicate detection, case sensitivity, prefix/suffix, language, etc. It also features two modes: upload and storage. Upload sends the code contents immediately and storage allows you scan and store until you get back to a computer to upload them all at once. I don't need the storage option but have tested it in Excel, it will dump one code, pause ever so slightly and then dump another code until it is finished. Be sure to put this manual in a safe place for the command codes! This barcode scanner has far more abilities than any other scanner I've owned. I don't think I'll even use half of them, but they are nice to have. So far this is the best scanner I've owned and I would recommend it.

Works great but I was just about to return it when I figured out the problem.
I was just about to return it when I figured out the problem. This uses a UHF radio frequency to link the scanner to the computer and that link is susceptible to RF noise. When I plugged the receiver into the computer USB port it worked just intermittently with the scanner less than 3 feet from the receiver. The manual suggested that the USB port might be the problem so I plugged it into a USB hub on my desk and saw an immediate improvement. Computers can make some low power RF noise and it appears that when the receiver is plugged direct into the port and is close to the CPU board it will pick up that noise instead of the signal from the scanner. Then I plugged the receiver into a 24 inch long USB extension cable that was plugged into the original USB port I used earlier and just hung it over the side of the desk; the range was fantastic, it does not take much distance to get away from the noise. The computer is on the upper floor of my house and I took the scanner down to the first floor and on the opposite side of the house to scan some stuff in the kitchen. The scanner will make different beep sounds to let you know if the scan was successful or not and it worked perfectly. When I came back to the computer all the UPC numbers were on the screen. One of the things that tipped me off that the receiver might be the problem was the sound your computer will make when you plug or unplug something into the USB port. When I was trying to scan with the receiver plugged direct into the computer, when I hit the trigger on the scanner sometimes the computer would make the sound like something was just unplugged and a few seconds later make the sound like something was just plugged in. As others have said, the manual is not the greatest and not including the extension USB cable is why it is only 4 stars. If you buy one of these, order an extension cable at the same time and position the receiver away from your computer. I have a big inventory project that I bought this specifically for so if there are any problems I will revise this review.

Multiple Scanners
I bought Nadamoo YHD-5100 (Bur3003) and YDH-5100 (Bur3072) to be used in a warehouse for scanning UPC codes into our system. Instead of the normal HID (keyboard emulation) method of input, I used them in the virtual com method so that the scanners can be used concurrently. (Otherwise if both scanners scan at the same time, the input will be jumbled and you won't know which scanner is responsible for the scan) To get into virtual com mode, you need to email the support and request the usb_com drivers as well as instructions from them. Support is relatively responsive considering they are in Asian time zone. (so give them a business day for them to respond). They could have saved themselves a lot of trouble and time just by listing the download links on the manual..so not sure why they didn't do that. Back to the system, I can verify that both models listed can co-exist and work together in virtual com mode. I had to program the scanners to add the characters A: and B: before the barcodes. e.g. Scanner1 will output the input 123456789012 as A:123456789012 and Scanner2 will output B:123456789012 etc. After that, I added a class module to read directly from the com port. The com port will show up as "Nuvoton Virtual Com Port X" in Windows device manager where X is the port number assigned. The interesting thing is that if both scanners scans at the same time, only one of them will be successfully read to the com port. My program will then proceed to strip out the first 2 characters (e.g. A:) and give the scanned barcode to the inventory program. It has been working fantastic and highly recommended. Other interesting note: If you are just scanning 1D, the YHD-5100 is faster in scanning than YHD-5100(2D) Good products! I will add more scanners to speed up inventory scanning even more. Update: If 2 scanners scan exactly at same time, input will be concatenated. (I stated erroneously in original review that there will be only 1 correct input)

5 stars and I highly recommend this scanner
As an entrepreneur, I was looking for a barcode scanner to implement a business solution when I came across the NADAMOO Wireless Barcode Scanner on Amazon. The price was fair, and the reviews were positive so I quickly purchased the scanner. Upon receiving it, I started programming the scanner, and upon referring to the scanner's instruction booklet, and I found that the instructions were very well written, with clear, concise instructions for the common tasks I needed for my project (continuous scanning, multiple scanners to one USB dongle, etc). I liked how the scanner has many options for different scanning requirements, and the instruction booklet was very thorough while still being easy to use. Furthermore, I had questions on the whether the scanner could operate in a cold weather environment, so I emailed the customer support address in the booklet. To my surprised, I received a very fast and accurate response explaining the capabilities and limitations of the scanner. The response was accurate and didn't try to be pretentious and "sell" me on something the scanner was not. I also had follow up questions, and again after emailing customer service, I received a fast response with answers and a document that solved my needs. In short, customer service was great. As I tested the scanner more and more, I found it to be of great value and quality for the price point. I'm fairly certain that the NADAMOO Wireless Barcode Scanner was suit most of a typical user's needs. One suggestion to users who are seeking to purchase this is to buy the NADAMOO cradle along with the scanner; I found myself needing the cradle to hold my scanner while it was in continuous scanning mode, and the cradle is also simply a good option as oppose to putting the scanner flat on a table. Overall, this scanner is great value, well made, has very good documentation, is easy to operate and customer service is second to none. I highly recommend this product for business owners and entrepreneurs.

not good
IIt always misses the first letter or number for Amazon. UPS adds extra 5 numbers. Contacted technical support sent examples and their response did not solve the issue. I will not buy if I was you.

Great easy to use barcode scanner.
These scanners work really well. They come with their own USB dongles which just plug into a spare USB port on a computer and connect seamlessly with the scanner which allows much more flexible use without being tied to a cable. Very small and lightweight with good battery life (the batteries re-charge via a USB connection. They only scan linear bar codes (not 2D) but for the price they represent really good value for money.

Good solid hand held scanner and works perfectly for small ...
Good solid hand held scanner and works perfectly for small business needs, after creating a spread sheet for system to work with, this has definitely made stock control simple. Distance is fine for connection to receiver within the computer and the distance transmitted was approx 30 to 40 m going through various stud walls and steel uprights. Overall very pleased with delivery and the product.
