I have purchased (sadly before this one) A LOT of hummingbird feeders. And though some have worked for a while...this one was perfect right out of the box!!! I will definitely buy another one. AND, I will be buying some as Christmas gifts. This would also make a great gift as it's so sturdy and almost fail proof for first time hummingbird feeding experiences. I have been using this one for about 4 months now and the ants hardly bother with this one. I don't know why, I hung it in the same place as the others. I think one reason might be because it doesn't "leak" fluid the whole time it's hanging there. The hummingbirds loved it immediately. I did not install the purches that were included but really appreciate the ant moat. The best thing about this moat is the fact that it's big enough to put a drop of soap in it and then fill with water. The soap makes it harder for the ants to crawl across and the moat is bigger so there is more water to last longer. These people thought of EVERYTHING when designing this. The red glass is gorgeous and the "flower" ports are easy to clean and (I assume) access of for the birds that use them. Don't buy anything else, this is the best value and I'm certain will last for many years to come. Thank you Billion Sky for knowing how to do this and doing it right!!!

Absolutely amazing. This is the best hummingbird feeder I have used. The red glass was perfect for drawing birds and the weight of it was able to withstand high winds. That was something I worried about constantly it getting blown down and having glass everywhere. I didn't find any bugs getting into it which was really nice, along with the coloring. The brightness of the red was eye catching and along with the size for plenty of food, your humming birds will be grateful.

The media could not be loaded. Top Five Reasons why I love this feeder:5. It's esthetically pleasing. Beautiful red glass with embossed flowers and birds. Pretty dark green base with real-looking flowers. Lovely to look at all by itself.4. Easy to clean!! Wide mouth makes cleaning (and filling) the bottle easy. A small brush is included to clean the flower feeding ports. The snap-together base is easy to seperate making the process of taking apart and thoroughly cleaning a breeze!3. The base pieces snap together so it is one piece. This makes it easy screw back onto the bottle. No juggling two base pieces and hoping they align properly to ensure a good seal. I also appreciate the ridges on the base that are ergonomic for fingers to easily twist the base back on the bottle.2. DOES NOT LEAK!!! I get so frustrated with feeders that claim to be leak-proof yet the slightest breeze or bump from the birds will pour nectar all over the place. The rubber seal on this feeder fits securely in the base but is easy to remove for cleaning. Just make sure everything is thoroughly dry before reassembling.1. The birds LOVE this feeder!! I have six feeders from various makers. So far I have gone through 34lbs. of sugar this summer. I fill the other feeders every-other day, this feeder gets filled daily. There is always a holding pattern of birds waiting to get their turn at the feeder. They also love the perches. Some feeders don't have them in the right spot for the birds to easily perch. This feeder does and they often take a break while eating.Next summer I will likely replace my other feeders with these. As often as I fill the feeders I appreciate the ease of cleaning and assembling these. Most importantly the birds love it. A feeder doesn't mean anything to me if I can't enjoy watching the birds eat. My only critique would be that the feeding ports don't have any kind of bee/wasp guard. The wasps will hang out and eat from the feeder as well. That said, however, I'm not certain there would be an effective way to incorporate this feature and maintain the other benefits of cleaning the feeder. So I will live with swatting the wasps away. For the most part, they birds have learned to share.

This hummingbird came by a couple minutes after I hung it up for the first time. I have gone through 3 feeders that weren’t to their liking. I think feeder has the most sanitary, rust free features and the comfortable footrests for them :)

Very nice feeder already the color hummers prefer without having to add artificial color to their food. Just installed and am impatiently waiting for the throngs of birds...come on!

I really find many advantages to this feeder with the six sides and green clear bottom. First the top handle is not glass which could break on many offered (though attractive). Easy to clean. The birds really love red despite the many colors offered even though I have a few colored ones. The solid red glass IMHO attracts more birds. And most of all I like that it is easy to see what sugar liquid is left in the bottom. I plan to buy the square one similar to this one. At first I did not like the so called flimsy red flowers but they are decent. One point to make is to secure the black grip handles to their slots as they can get dislodged/lost... so keep a metal finder on hand. I do think hummingbirds like a 'chair' at the feeding table so grip handles are a must; my older bottles with no handles I have made them from stainless wire that circle the flowers. Spring is near so we must get prepared for all the fun ahead of us with those lovely precious birds. "thank you God/Universe for such lovely smart creatures".
