Great for gluten free sourdough starter and bread!!
I got this to use for guten-free sourdough starter mix and it works excellently! My starter is fantastic! And it makes wonderful bread. I also mix it with other gluten-free breae flour.

Great substitute for wheat flour
This sorghum flour is a great substitute for wheat flour. Things I bake with it taste the same as if baked with wheat flour. But if you are baking something with yeast, you will probably have to add other ingredients to make it rise the same way wheat flour would rise. Very good quality.

However, questionable storage/shipping methods at Amazon. I’ve gotten broken jars, ruptured packages, spoiled product - all food items. Caveat emptor.

Home grown works best for us
Being gluten free because of health factors it was a wonderful surprise to find sorghum flour. Unfortunately, that came with a problem. One sorghum flour caused my husband had a food allergy. After realizing that he had eaten sorghum syrup for years without problems we took a look at the source of the flour he couldn't eat. It came from another China. So I began searching for sorghum flour grown and milled here in the U.S. Bob Mills is from Oregon. Problem solved and I look forward to baking him cookies and pies again.

Great alternative to use as part of a gluten free recipe. Pleasant tasting, but need to make sure it is used wisely because if over used in a recipe it can be a little crumbly or like cardboard.
