And make sure that you reconnect the new thermostat in the exact same way and to the exact same colors as the old thermostat was connected. And turn the power off on the unit you are controlling while doing the reinstallation of the thermostat or you could fry the circuit board. **Q: does the white rodgers 200 5-1-1 stat have a backlight?** A: Yes by pressing any button preferably "Run" or " Hold" but the backlight is not as bright as shown in the picture.
