14k White Gold Ball Stud Earrings with Secure Screw-backs

I have been really happy with these studs as wear every day and keep in earrings. The screw backs are secure and do not loosen until you do so manually and they are unnoticeable while sleeping or wearing any type of ear warmers in winter. They value is great and they polish up nicely when needed.

(This is the wife!) Basically everything makes my ears inflamed and gross except for surgical steel and real gold. Even sterling silver (eff you Claire's! 925 sterling silver my a**!) I can say after a few days that these are awesome so far. I got the 5mm. I think it's a good size, probably could have taken it to a 4. They are put them in and forget about them earrings! They stay in, they don't stab the s*** out of you when you're sleeping because of the awesome flat back design(where have these been all my life?!) And the screw back is going to keep these suckers on! I got nervous before buying because some reviews said the screw grooves hurt and that they were short, but I'm a big baby and neither of these things have been a problem. I will update in about a month on how they are holding up, but right now, they rock! Update::::: these rock. I do wish now I had gone down a size. They are great. I am a side sleeper and was so used to getting stabbed in the head from earrings. These are AWESOME. No irritation.

Exactly as advertised. I had re-pierced my ears which had closed after a long illness and needed white gold. For me, white gold is “the gold standard” and does not irritate my ears and make them irritated. The one thing I wish they had done was machine just a few more rings in the screw part of the post. Maybe two more. My ear lobes are not large nor small. They are about the same as they’ve always been, even when I was much younger. Most post and screw backs fit perfectly. You know how screw backs are: too loose and the earring droops away from your ear hole a little bit. Too tight and the earring can start to sink into your ear hole. Despite wishing that the posts had a couple more threads on them, these earrings are just perfect. Extremely comfortable to wear 24/7, clearly NOT junk jewelry, and fits in with ANY style of clothing!

These looked good however are hollow and the earring backs are small.

These are relatively awesome! Minus one star for the backers being so dang tiny! Seriously though!? I wasn't exactly sure which size ball to buy. I ended up getting the 6mm and I think they might be too big, but whatevs. These are a stand-in for my lost diamonds :( ....they'll do for now. If you have an average size head, which I think I do, I might op for the 5mm or even the 4mm's (although to be fair, I've not seen those and have a horrible judge of size!)....otherwise, they're a great product. If your ears are remotely allergic to anything, as mine are, these are actually real gold (or at least coated in enough, so no allergies, yay! I was so tired of my ears flaring up from all the fake earrings I was putting in my ears! My only complaint is how tiny the screw in backer is, having the 6mm ball made it a bit easier to twist into the backer instead of twisting the backer onto the earring, but otherwise, stellar purchase!

I bought these so I could wear something in the holes I’ve had for 40+ years. I noticed after trying on an old favorite that my earring holes had started to become difficult to wear. I am one of those people that can melt metal with my skin which is why I chose a gold material. I’ve had them in for a week without any pain, itching, or discoloration of the metal. These are not plated. I would have melted that coating off by now. The post is slightly longer than the majority of my other sets making over night wear comfortable. The twist back is tiny but once connected remains tight and even though I spin them daily like I was taught as a young girl the back does not fall off or become displaced. I haven’t tried to squeeze them with pliers or other dumb ideas that I read in other comments so I can’t say if they are solid but I will say they satisfy my needs, including small enough to sleep in, quality metal, and backs that stay in place so I don’t lose them in the shower.

One of the backs does not screw on properly. I didn’t discover this until after it was too late to return and exchange it. Oh well! Other than that, I love them!

I have sensitive ears and can only wear gold. I have been looking for studs for my second and third piercings but didn’t want to pay the gross mark ups of commercial jewelry stores. On a whim I came to Amazon to see what I might find and lo and behold I found these and thought I would give them a try. I have been wearing them a month now and have had no reactions due to metal sensitivity. They are comfy and I like the way they look, I live the screw on backs so I know they are secure without over tightening. I love these and have already purchased three pair.

Secure screw-back is very not easy to screw. Childrens can’t use by themself... even adult. And the rod is to long
