Armrest Cover Lid Lock Center Console Latch and Spring for Honda Civic 2006-2011 Replace 83451-SNA-A01ZA

The latch on these Civics are garbage from the factory, and this is a decent enough replacement part. It fits correctly, but the tang that engages the slot on the console is not long enough to make a positive lock to hold the door shut. It is better than nothing. Really the problem is a poor design by Honda that is exasperated by an aftermarket part not being very precise. But for the money this will work.

This should have been an easy fix. It was easy enough to install, but the hook part of this latch is too short. It's not long enough to latch into the notch to hold the lid shut. It needs to be a fraction longer. I don't know if it would help to try another one. Frustrating.

After a quick YouTube video, I was able to complete this repair in around 60 seconds. The rod from the original handle is necessary. Fits perfect.

Couldn't use it, pin hole was too small for the original pin to go through.

Bought for Honda civic. Had to figure out how to install it but works fine now
