My level fixed itself!?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! After I received the level (about 2 months ago) I slid it into the camera's hot shoe adapter, and to my utter disappointment, it was so loose you could actually jiggle it around. If the camera tilted backward at all it would just slide out. I figured I could fix it with some sort of shim, but I took it out and quickly forgot about it. Fast forward to 10 minutes ago, and I noticed it sitting on my desk. I figured it was a good time to tackle the looseness issue, so I slid it in again to see exactly how thick my shim would have to be, and it fit PERFECTLY! Tight enough to keep it perfectly in place, but not so tight it's difficult to slide in and out. The only thing I can think of is that the natural humidity in the air (and I live in a desert climate, so we're not talking about much) absorbed into the plastic over the past few weeks and it swelled up a tiny bit. If you receive yours and it feels loose, just give it some time out of the packaging and try again a few days later. I'm so glad I didn't return it or throw it away! Now that it fits, I love it. The 3 separate bubbles allow you to align your camera perfectly on every axis, and the clear plastic is perfectly see-through. I highly recommend it!

Base thickness is uneven
My reason for one star is the molding of the base. In the attached image of the base it slides on the camera left to right. Notice the right side of the base wing is thinner than the left and the center is thicker than both making it impossible to fully seat on the camera accessory shoe (hot shoe). See the attached images of it in the camera shoe. Though I already I have a dual axis level that slides on and off all my cameras I wanted a three axis spirit level. The best I might be able to do is sand the bottom making it fit, but then I must be extremely careful making sure it is indeed level. EDITED 2017-11-01 Over the past few days this vendor contacted me about my review. Their concern was my dissatisfaction, their goal is to make it all good. In all correspondence they have been exceedingly helpful, cordial, and to make things right they have gone out of their way. Though the product had manufacturing flaws out of their control their customer service is above reproach. The important thing in any transaction is how well does a seller handle issues; their attention to their customers is above and beyond what would be expected. Would I again purchase from them, yes. The reason for five stars is their customer service. They have contacted their manufacture about the manufacture's poor molding. With molding issue resolved this should be an outstanding product. Again, it is important the manner problems are addressed, and FOTYRIG seems very sincere about correcting issues brought to their attention. Edited 2017-11-06 Today I received a replacement three axis bubble level. This replacement perfectly fits 100% of my cameras. My cameras are old film cameras, Pentax K1000, K1000 SE, and K2, Minolta XG 7, Canonet G-III QL17, and Leica IIIf. Folks I have shot for request film not digital. FOTYRIG I am commending you for your customer service, followup and follow through. Very much impressed with your company; well deserving five stars. From me a heartfelt thank you. NOTE: Because the base molding anomaly is resolved I removed the original three images.

Not level
Mine is not level which defeats the whole purpose. Two out of the three came level, but the one of them is not, and it’s one I need. Who knows it’s probably a hit or miss with this product. Maybe I just got unlucky but from what I’ve seen in the other reviews is that you have a high chance of getting one it’s not level. If you look in the picture that I am showing the green tube on the bottom, there is not straight and it slightly tilted in the acrylic cube even a slight tilt is enough to make a difference. I didn’t mind how it sat inside of my Canon R 10 although it was not snug it was not loose either my main complaint is I spent nine dollars on this and Amazon is trying to charge me eight dollars to get a replacement or a refund so basically I just had to buy another one from someone else and I’m hoping that it’s Better. Fingers crossed.

A good little gadget for confirming quick level estimations
It's an inexpensive little gadget that is great for making quick checks and see if the camera is more or less level. The base is a bit loose in the shoe so the fit is fiddly, but it still beats leveling the camera using the old mark 1 eyeball.

Great...after a slight modification
Update: After initially rating this 3/5, the seller contacted me and offered me a full refund while allowing me to keep the level since I wasn't completely satisfied. I've decided to up the rating to 5/5 due to the great customer service I've experienced with them. The level continues to work well and I'm happy with it. The level works fine AFTER I modified it. The mount portion was too thick to fit into the hotshoe of my Nikon D750. So, I had to run it across some fine sandpaper so that it would slide in.

Excellent Bubble Level, but a Little Loose on a Camvate Cold Shoe Mount
This is a very well-made and helpful item. I originally purchased it for a Camvate cold shoe mount. Although it works, it's a little loose. But please note this is NOT the bubble levels fault. It's because the Camvate cold shoe mount doesn't have a spring clip that's typically found on a camera's hot shoe. That spring clip is very important because it helps secure the bubble level. If you're using this bubble level with a hot or cold shoe mount that has a spring clip, you'll be absolutely fine. If you're using it with a hot or cold shoe that doesn't have a spring clip, you'll need to place a small piece of paper or tape between the bubble level and the cold shoe mount to help keep it secured, which is very easy to do. I also want to mention, like others have stated, that the seller is excellent! When they saw my original post they reached out to me to find out how they could help. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who's looking for a quality bubble level that's backed by a reputable seller.

Cute little add-on!

I am very disappointed in this product. The base has uneven thickness, so when it is slid inside the camera hot shoe, it moves. Such terrible fit renders this product useless. For a bubble level tool like this it is paramount that the product is designed and produced carefully. Another reviewer indicated exactly same problem, but then updated his review with a comment stating that the seller corrected the issue. This comment was from 2017, 5 years ago. I trusted that this issue is a thing of the past, but it appears that it is not. I needed this level for a project. It failed me. I strongly suggest to avoid this product and this seller. It cannot be trusted.
