I’m quite happy with my choice! Thoroughly comfortable and supportive when I use the amount of fill I prefer. I did not choose the Cooling Essence Fill, but the regular Essence Fill. Though they don’t stay cool as when you lay your head, they most definitely don’t get overly warm after your head has been on it a while. I found that to be the case with the Coop Home Original with crosscut memory foam, which retained heat. I used to constantly flip my pillow throughout the night and don’t now. Coop Home’s customer service is exceptionally good, too! Give this pillow a try!

Saw this when Dr. Breus was on the Diary of a CEO podcast and thought I needed to try it. Admittedly, I am a pillow shopper as I could never find one that is "just right," until now. Dr. Breus said, look for a pillow with a gusseted edge so it supports your full neck. Make sure it has enough stuffing to keep your neck and spine at a neutral angle. Use foam or fill, whatever you prefer as long as your neck and spine stay in line. He happens to use Coop pillows, which was an added nudge to try it since they aren't cheap. I had been waking up with neck and shoulder pain recently and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This pillow is amazing! It is just the right amount of stuffing to feel luxurious while keeping my neck and spine in line. The curved shape hugs me no matter what side I lay on, or if I'm on my back. It is, without a doubt, the most comfortable pillow I have ever used. As an added bonus, it comes with extra stuffing so you can adjust it to fit just right. It's not cheap, but a good night sleep is worth the price. If you're on the fence, do it! You will be so happy that you did!

The filing of this pillow is wonderful! Super soft and no hard pieces that usually come in a down alternative pillow. It comes in a two pack with only one small amount of extra filling to add to the pillow to adjust the firmness. I wish it came with two extra fillings; one for each pillow. (Which is why only 4 stars). Im not sure of the magic applied to the pillow but it is cooling! Lovely! Good support for a side sleeper!

I have been on a bit of a pillow spree lately trying out different pillows. I tried the regular coop which would flatten too much where my head would lay after a while. I then tried the Eden which I was perfectly happy with for a while as it is more soft than the original, yet more supportive at the same time; however, for some reason that pillow sleeps pretty hot. I decided to try out these Essence Cooling pillows with lower expectations, but from day 1, I found the comfort of these pillows to be exactly what I was looking for. They are light weight, fluffy and soft yet still supportive, and they do not sleep hot like the Eden. I prefer more flat pillows so I was able to take out a bunch of filling and have a lot leftover from both pillows. They definitely came overstuffed in my opinion, but I like having extra filling to make an extra pillow. I bought a king size coop crescent pillowcase and was able to make another pillow with it. I really like the cooling cover on the Essence pillows though and I wish they could make a crescent pillowcase with the same cover. I also tried out the regular non cooling Essence pillows and found that they were significantly more soft than the cooling version, but they were also less supportive and caused your head to sink too much. With how soft they were, I didn’t have to take out any extra filling and it did seem almost under stuffed at first but fluffed up the next day. I ended up returning the noncooling Essence, and just kept the cooling version because I prefer the type of fill it came with and the cover more. Also just felt you get more bang for your buck with the amount of extra filling I had after adjusting the pillows. With the noncooling version, I would not have enough fill leftover for another pillow since it is so soft that you need more filling to compensate. After trying out the different versions of the coop pillows, it made me realize that I prefer the fiber fill as opposed to the pieces of memory foam. I realized memory foam traps a lot more heat and tend to be heavier, while I enjoy lighter pillows that stay much more cool. I recommend the essence cooling pillow!

If you want pillows that offer no support and are half-filled, then these are for you. The pillows come with extra fill, but it's like the extra fill should just be in the pillows already. It feels like they took it out of the pillow to market it like you get "extra," but you really don't. There's nothing that speaks "down alternative" about these pillows. The pictures in the listing are much fuller than what you really get. Coop is based in the US, but it literally says "made in China" on it. There wasn't really a smell which was good, but that was probably the only plus. I got these pillows for just under $50, but you could find better pillows for $20 at somewhere like TJ Maxx for sure.

We've always used down pillows for decades and the last purchase being 2003. They are still useable but need to be washed and recovered. To avoid defeathering the poor birds or to avoid the mess of washing and stuffing our current down pillows into new covers I thought I would give this "hotel quality pillow a try, but it creates way too much heat while sleeping and I wake up reaching for my old feather one again. The polyester fiber fill is quite comfortable as far as loft and support for side sleepers. It was densely fiiled. In fact there was so much, one could make another pillow or 2 from it. It was quite easy to remove the extra poly fiber fill. The zipper is maybe 8 to 10 inches- large enough for even big hands to go through. It seems sturdy. The polyester pillow case itself is well made. I tried a couple of different breathable cotton pillow case covers, even bought one of the "cool sleeping" covers which had quilting on one side. I transferred the filling into them hoping the fill might not produce heat, but it does. The quilted one was less hot then the others but still not enough to let me sleep all night. If you need a cooler climate pillow that feels as soft as down feathers this would be perfect. If instead, you are like me with a thick head of hair, it may be way too warm and uncomfortable. I am a side sleeper and my ear, neck, upper shoulders and side of my face on the pillow gets too hot and that causes me to wake me up and search for my old down pillow that has lost its fluffiness. I was able to return this order within the 30 day window. For that i am most grateful.

I was sceptical of these pillows could they teally be that different? Well yes they are a game changer. A someone that stuggles to get a good nights rest and has neck and back issues these have made a huge differance. Hopfully now that Im slepping better because of these pillows my body can heal. The size is perfect, providing the right amount of support that can be adjusted, Very cooling and I can tell these will last for a long time, making them a great value for my hard earned money.
