The Edna Lewis Cookbook

Inspires you to try recipes of food that you normally only order at restaurants. This cookbook is new to me, but everything I’ve made has turned out well.

I grew up in the Deep South and I like my 'Soul food'. The recipes in this book is a far cry from any Southern cookbooks I've ever seen or the Southern food I grew up eating. The recipes are for a high end French restaurant. The print job uses expensive paper, not the standard paper used for printing a book. I chose not to return the book because I enjoy cooking various foods from other countries. Her first book is great. Every recipe reminds me of why I still cook the 'Soul food' I grew up eating.

Book needs more recipes and less general background information.

I'm still debating whether or not to give this book to my son & his fiance' or keep it for myself. I'm the cook but so is he! And we both love Southern cooking. It's a very endearing book. And the recipes seem very elegant and easy. I think I'll send it to them and get my own!

This cookbook is so awe inspiring

My friend asked for this for her birthday so it was an easy gift. Hopefully she will make something for me from the book.

This cookbook s worth the price for the blackberry pie and peach cobbler recipes alone. Incredible pie crust recipe. Just buy it. You won’t regret it.

This is a treasure. Everything I expected and much more. If you are a serious cook buy this cookbook.
