Bought this unit mostly to drive a second monitor on a new Mac Mini M1 and hold a Timemachine drive.My complaint comes from occasional video dropouts on the HDMI monitor plugged into it. No dropout happens on the main monitor. Using an actual Apple Digital AV cable has cleared the problem. After purchasing the unit I got a "How do you like it?" message from the company and replied with the issue I'm having and have heard nothing back.This could just be an issue with the one I have or something so YMMV.As for the internal HDD. It only takes a thin drive ( 7.5mm - 9.5mm ) so while it will happily drive a 4TB drive, a 4TB spinner is usually 15mm and I want a spinner as this will be for TimeMachine backups and it could be sent to a data recovery place in an emergency with better chance of recovery vs SSDs.Quality wise it is plastic and doesn't feel bad. Color match is good with the MacMini M1. The instructions are minimal in several languages. They don't mention what the "On/Off" slider is on the bottom. That is for the HDD door release. It wasn't immediately obvious and I do overthink things sometimes but "Open/Close" or "Lock/Unlock" would have been better choices IMHO.

Needs more USB C ports but is nice as a Matching unit for Mac Mini. Also provides space for a 2.5" ssd or HD which I'm planning for future use. I bought this one for the VGA port which is what I use on my second monitor.

After a month or so I have forgotten that it is on my table. Sits quietly and Time Machine's my work. The front USBs actually work! We upload data from medical devices frequently. I would definitely recommmend.One problem, it would be nice if it snapped to the mini, it can be jostled too easily.

The SD cards slot didn't fit SD cards, so not great.

This is a must-have for the new Mac Mini with its limited plug-ins. I purchased a small 1 TB hard drive and it plugged right into the dock and is working really well. I was a little surprised at the plasticy feel of the dock as based on the pictures I was expecting maybe aluminum. I thought it was a bit pricy but when compared to others it falls right into line. Overall smart purchase that really adds to the functionality of the Mini and improves the ease of use.

I bought this to help with having a dual monitor setup. It delivered on that need. My only concern is that when my Mac mini is placed on top, it heats up a lot. I haven’t gotten any warnings or anything but it does make me nervous. To address it, I just put the hub on top. It looks a little odd but I don’t mind since it sits under a small shelf. The extra hard drive is definitely a nice touch.

Honestly, this is the only dock of this type that offers HDMI and VGA connectivity for easily connecting to monitors. This has connected my two 1080p monitors easily and it's been great. It's not made with the best quality, but I really only care about it working and it does. If you want the most useful seamless Mac Mini dock, get this one!

Al comienzo no encendía porque hay que tenerlo conectado tanto a la alimentación eléctrica como a la Mini Mac mediante los puertos USB-C (yo lo había conectado malamente en el puerto USB-C y entonces no encendía). El manual es muy pobre, así que traté de conseguirlo online pero no lo conseguí. Finalmente conecté todo correctamente y funcionó perfectamente.

The media could not be loaded. I haven't had any issues with mine--images uploaded quickly, no damaged cards or lost data. Works perfectly. I also like that the cord isn't ridiculously long, so you don't have to tie up any excess cord in a bundleI love it because it has broad compatibility, super cool design, fast speed (5Gps), all in one reader and many other fantastic features.However, given the price, performance, and attractive appearance, a great deal for anyone needing a card reader.

Das Gehäuse besteht aus Aluminium, es ist ein recht dickes Anschlußkabel für einen Standard-USB, sowie USB-C Anschluß angebracht. Den Standard-USB Anschluß kann man umklappen, so daß ein micro-USB Stecker daraus wird. DIesen kann man z.B. in ein OTG-fähiges Handy stecken. In meinem Fall ein Samsung Galaxy S5.Gestestet habe ich eine 64GB micro SD Karte von Kingston und eine 32GB SD Karte von Sandisk diese wurde sofort erkannt und die Datenübertragung funktionierte tadellos mit einer USB2.0 Geschwindigkeit.Ich hatte den Kartenleser mehrere Stunden am Handy, es wurde nichts heiß, noch nicht einmal handwarm.Man kann nur spekulieren, warum andere Kunden Hitzeprobleme haben. Auch die Kapazität des Handyakkus nahm gerade mal um 5% ab, das ist für so ein altes S5 eigentlich sehr beachtlich.Fazit: Ich kann den Kartenleser empfehlen, er macht was er soll und macht auch sonst einen recht stabilen Eindruck. Wie lange der USB-Klappmechanismus hält wird der Langzeiteinsatz zeigen.
