To all Windows 7 Users and anyone having problems you might just need to connect via ethernet cable first
Hello so I've had a bunch of trouble getting this ti work because I am a noob. But here is what I did:So open the files in the disk and right click and then choose properties to change the compatibility of Setup.exe to Windows Vista SP 2 and then run iit and install. Now what you need to do is then connect the Belkin and also connect an Ethernet cable and update the drivers for it. and you don't use the application that the setup installed, instead go directly to networks and sharing and you will be able to connect to your wireless network and when you do, you can disconnect your Ethernet cable and you will be able to use the Belkin from then on. I hope that helps you. Works pretty good, I am getting 10mbps speeds. :)

Easy and Great For The Price!
I have a old 2002 Hp Compaq with Windows XP. My family already has a desktop downstairs and it's really nice. The only way I was able to use the internet with my desktop was with a 25 foot ethernet cable conect to my computer and directly to the router downstairs. I was looking online for a cheap wireless card and I found this one. Got it today and am using it as we speak. It was really easy to install the software it came with, easily connected to the wireless connection, and it was very cheap! I recommend this to anyone!

It's a Belkin product...
I may or may not be biased about Belkin products but it seems whenever I choose something from their brand it has strange ... quirks. In the case of this wireless antenna it usually works great. However once in a great while my PC will no longer recognize it while making the sound to indicate something's been unplugged. If you want to resolve it to resume online activities it's easy to fix; You just unplug it and plug it back in. If you're working offline or aren't physically at the PC though it will randomly, after a period of time, make the sound that something has been plugged in and voila you have WiFi signal again! So if you don't mind a PC accessory that has a bit of "personality" this device is for you!

Great for the price. May be difficult for novice to setup.
Although it does not advertise as being Win 7 compatible I can confirm it does work well with Windows 7 64bit. It was a bit frustrating to get set up because there is no Win 7 driver on the disc that shipped with it however a search of the Belkin site turned up drivers listed on this page: http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=4896Be advised you must install the drivers before plugging in the USB adapter. Also on Win 7 the only driver that works is the one listed as 4xxx with file name f5d7050v4133_setup.exeOnce I ran that setup file from Belkin and then plugged in the adapter it has worked great. The 3xxx driver (for vista) causes blue screen crashes under network load even though it will install. All and all I am happy with this adapter as it was only $6. I am running it on Win 7 without issue also with VM Workstation 10 loaded and I tested it by downloading a bunch of movies and it has worked good.

Mac Users! Works great!
I am baffled by all of the bad reviews this has gotten. It was simple to set up and work with once you downloaded the need USB Controller Program. I have a white iBook 500 dual USB and this works great! People kept telling me to buy the Airport Card but for $20, I picked this up. I use it with a wireless router and get great reception in my bedroom. Works great in WiFi zones. I am baffled. I have had it for well over 2 months and no complaint. I wonder if half the people on here even know how to work the equipment they buy.

Frequent dropped connections and a hard crash.
I picked this because of the Belkin name and low cost. First off, I don't like how you have to install a driver for this. There are many USB WiFi adapters that are plug and play without the driver hassle. I installed the included CD, installed the driver and the adapter connected to my WiFi router. Problem was that the connection would drop frequently, especially after sleeping the computer. Within the first hour of use, the computer froze hard and required a hard reset followed by a long disk scan and repair. I can't remember the last time, if ever, this computer froze like that.Sometimes I can reconnect if I "Troubleshoot problems" but other times, it only works after a reboot. Also, the signal strength is noticeably weaker and I see a lot fewer neighboring routers than other USB adapters. After a day of frustration, I ended up sending it back.

Nice product: Both Linux and Windows
I bought this item because i was looking for a wifi dongle without-of-the-box compatibility with Kubuntu. The dongle was immediately recognized by Kubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat).I had minor issues configuring the Wi-fi for using withmy D-link router configured with WPA2 personal (Hidden SSID). I had never configured a Wi-fi connection in Linux before.I googled a while and I found an article about how to do the configuration via console (The network manager applet didn't work for me)The installation in Windows 7 was also easy (plug n play).

Great
I installed it under Windows7 and CentOS 6.4 on an Asus laptop. Installation was effortless and the device works perfectly.Choose the USB port you will use it in carefully, since the installation port is the one it will be used on. It's a little wider than the connector, so if you have two ports next to each other you may need an extender or a short cable. It was also much less expensive than some of the newer devices.
