Another great Wheeler product! I used the adjustable standard and screw driver type torque setting tools before, but this unit is so great! No more adjustments, just select the proper limiter and everytime perfectly torques! Great for gunsmith projects, cleaning firearms, and scope mounting!

This is probably the #1 tool every gun owner should have along with a good set of drivers. You don't need to be doing fancy gunsmithing. SImple things like mounting scopes and swapping stocks really benefit from proper torque. When I used to tighten scope rings I was always paranoid about getting them too tight. Using the 15 in-lb limiter I discovered most of mine were too loose. Don't screw up grandpa's old rifle or your shiny new range toy trying to do it by feel. The included pouch is very nice. The set has pretty much all the basic sizes you'll encounter mounting optics or stocks. Quit carrying around the zillion or so allen wrenches you eventually accumulate and get this instead.

This tool works great—I install a lot of firearm parts, from rifle scopes and red dots to grips and other accessories. Each torque bit feels solid and delivers consistent, accurate torque. I also really like the compact carry bag it comes with; it’s lightweight and slim, perfect for tossing into a range bag. It’s definitely a solid buy if you’re just getting into gunsmithing or if you want a reliable tool for installing parts to spec. I previously used the Wheeler digital torque screwdriver, which worked well for lighter torque settings, but it started shutting off when I went over 35 in/lbs. While it’s decent for anything under 30 in/lbs, I found it a bit flimsy overall. This tool, by comparison, feels much more durable and dependable. Worth the purchase and it’s usually on sale so keep and eye out! (Got it for $69.99)

Very good! But the problem is, if you don't keep pressure down on the handle, the bit jumps up once you exceed the torque max, causing all the force to be placed on the very tip of the bit which could damage the bit or the screw/bolt head.

Price was fair and it’s a remarkable little torque tool. It’s perfect for the application I had, and it’s in my special toolbox for future potential needs. Easier to use with my quarter inch drive ratchet wrench than my quarter inch drive screwdriver. Did the job needed, and I’d buy it again if I had to.
