El Mejor Mariachi Del Mundo

First of all, let me admit I'm no expert on the form of music called Mariachi. I do know enough, however, to know that the music of the Tijuana Brass ain't the real thing. This group, Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlan, has a very delightful sound and I believe it is authentic. Whether it is or isn't doesn't matter: the music is cheerful and lively and very, very enjoyable. As I said, I'm no expert, nor do I claim to be one, but I find this album to be very delightful and I do recommend it to others.

I bought this for our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and it is fabulous. It is just like being in Mexico and listening to a very good Mariachi band play. We have it in our car and listen to it all the time. If you want some good Mexican music, this is the CD to buy. It makes us look forward to going to Mexico again.

it's an old but clean and great recording. my dad would play this LP record constantly, so for me this release is favored due to childhood memories, but i still think it towers over the more polished and produced, sappy mariachi recordings i've heard, plus i prefer the more rustic and rough sounds of mexico's least known regional recordings, so i'm still surprised that i enjoy this release.

It was exactly what I had hoped for. This was a gift for my boyfriend. He was so sad that we hadn't made a point to see a mariachi band before leaving Mexico City... So I figured that I would get him a cd for Christmas. Definitely worth it.

Enjoyed listening to these classical Mariachi songs being sung by one of the best Mariachi bands I have ever heard.

Sound is not as good as in some of their collections. Good variety of songs. Would recommend if the buyer had no other mariachi CDs
