I used an anti-slip mat before that utilizes sunction cups to stick to the tub. It was real messy because dirt accumulates between the mat and the tub - real yukky. Had to clean it constantly. With this Moen mat, there are no space for water to sip in - the mat really stick well to the tub. The application is a bit tricky but how I did it is this:1) clean and dry the tub very well , no shortcut here, I use a toilet bowl cleaner and brush to get rid of the stain. Dry it well- ver important so the mat will adhere to the tub.2) Before application, lay the mat to the tub and use a pencil to draw a line around the mat to layout the desired position.3) then start slowly peeling the sticker starting at the left corner ( or right if you prefer) and slowly stick it to the tub as you slowly peel the backing. Make sure pencil layout is followed. Important to press the mat real hard making sure no air is trapped. I used both finger and a plastic paint scraper to stick it to the tub slowly.4) lastly, since the tub is not flat but curved I encountered a problen laying it perfectly flat at the final stage of the application. I waited no time and pulled it out partially to reallign the mat. Try to avoid doing this . Luckily for me mat did not lose stickiness and still sticked back to the tub.5) when all is set and done I found out the application was not perfect as I noticed several one inch bubble around the mat. I used a safety pin to prick a tiny hole in the center of each bubble to pushed the air out. Now it is bubble free and looked like it was professionally applied. Saves me tons of money.

I had this installed for about 9 years. I probably should have removed it after 8 years. After so many years of dealing with the suction cup mats that nobody ever wants to clean I decided to try this in an older tub that had some scratches and discoloration on the bottom. Really helped the tub look good and was easy to clean. Very good non-skid qualities as well over a larger area than the old suction mats. Plus it wouldn't get nasty and be impossible to clean because dirt, hair, grease and soap scum accumulates on the underside of the matts. About a year ago one of the corners started peeling up and I should have pulled it up the rest of the way and replace it then but I didn't. That little corner started to lift up it started getting nasty underneath but I didn't catch it. Cleaned, disinfected and removed it and will likely replace it with another one. There was also dirt around the other edges but nothing like the corner that was lifted. It was a little difficult to remove but I didn't need any tools other than a scrub sponge to get rid of the adhesive. Considering how long it was practically maintenance free other than surface cleaning it was well worth it. Appreciate it's from a trusted brand.

Easy to install with two pairs of hands. I used a pencil to trace just the top (rather than tracing the whole mat as some reviewers suggested) and it worked out great for lining it up. It’s been a few months and it still looks new. Would purchase again.

What I like: it does it’s job perfectly!It sticks well and after 2 weeks it looks like it’s going to stay.I read a review claiming their mat slipped around and made them fall. I’m not sure how that’s possible but if you want the best results, here’s my suggestion: ( any surface you are expecting to use adhesive on must be free of dirt and build up and it must be dry)I used a mild abrasive bleaching cleanser. After rinsed, I dried the area and wiped it down with alcohol.What would be better:A bone colored mat optionIf the small bubbles weren’t present ( tried my best to push them out)

Hi folks, Jeff Jefferson here and i'm going to give you some tips for achieving that perfect fit with the Moen DN7050 Tread Mat. Take your time and follow this simple guide and you're sure to have the perfect fit!1, Clean the area of the tub where the mat will go.2. Peel off the entire backing of the mat at once. You may think you can do it better slowly peeling off a portion at a time, but you can't. Take the entire backing off and hold one end up high.3. With your hand firmly holding the low end, carefully place just the edge down and firmly press it into place.4. Yardstick? Ruler? Squeegee? Nah! Grab the box the mat came in! It's the perfect length and has a sharp corner. Grab the box with the hand that was previously holding the low end, and begin to forcefully press down and towards the remaining unplaced mat. Go slowly and let your high hand come down with the force of your low hand and the box. If you take your time, you can have a bubble free mat down in about 45 seconds, with no need to pull it up and redo.5. YIKES! BUBBLES! Did you follow this handy dandy guide and still end up with bubbles? Don't freak out! Simply go grab a safety pin or thumbtack and pop those suckers! Gently make one hole per bubble. Either let gravity do it's thing and slowly force the air out, or make a 'C' with your hand and slowly squeeze to the center.6. Enjoy! You've made it to the end of the tips for the Moen DN7050. Give yourself a round of applause! You're now the proud owner of a thin, durable, 16"x34" non-slip glacier white traction mat equipped tub! It's super safe and looks great! Who's the superstar? After a year still does what its intended for and holding up very well. I like the fact that because of it abrasive surface I can clean under my feet sliding it on the surface.Easy to scrub when it gets dingy which just makes my tub look and feel cleaner.As far as Cons, none that I can speak of.Just take care upon installation/application of product, take your time.As far as safety goes I'd highly recommend this non-slip mat by Moen.Looking good!

It worked very well. Wasn't to hard to get down by myself. Wouldn't hurt them to have a video on installation stressing out to put it down well aligned with the tub. It is kind of one shot on getting it where you want it.It seems to have adhered well to the tub. I went above and beyond to clean the tub surface ahead of time. When wet the surface is not slippery and that's its function and it does it well.

It has really good quality, nice color- light grey, and easy to wash. Doesn't smell and absorbs well, a good buy

This is the second time buying and would highly recommend. I have tried mats that use suction cups but they get so gross underneath that I just couldn't handle it and went back to this. They don't last forever and end up peeling up along the edges over time. Eventually you just have to replace it and will need to scrub any leftover adhesive off your tub. But the reality is that if you need a non-slip mat for the tub that isn't rough so you can still enjoy a soak, this is definitely the way to go. Easy to clean and easy to install. This was shorter than my tub so I simply cut it into 4 pieces and spread it out when installing it so we are safe at both ends when standing in the shower.

We’ve bought a lot of cheap ones for the dollar store with having to deal with gunk build up underneath. Moen costs more but is a lot better with its adhesive . We replaced ours after 2 + years i cleaned the glue with goo gone adhesive remover and plastic scraper but not too much elbow grease. Wiped the tub clean with rubbing alcohol and let it completely dry before replacing with new moen. It has superior grip and not an eyesore highly recommended

Easy to install just takes time and parience. No slipping at all while in the shower
