After having just gotten a new desk that came with it's own monitor arm, i was reluctant to use it out of the box as it seemed to be quite thin, and wold concentrate the pressure/force applied to the desk. That's where this comes in, it's got a soft coating to help protect the desk on top of having a flat and wide surface area to spread the force more evenly to prevent damage to thinner desks.

Got a new ultrawide and desk mount before realising how much pressure the c-clamp would be putting on a relatively small surface area of my 1.7cm thick desk. The plates are rock solid and have good weight, with a layer of soft grippy padding to preserve the desk. Peace of mind now.

These pieces feel heavy and well made and have done the job. so far (about 1 month or so). I used them to attach a monitor arm to the lower shelf of a Fredde gaming desk. The monitor arm holds a BenQ 27 inch monitor (weight c6.5kg). They blend in well with the colour of the desk and seem to be doing their job well so far.

I got this to use on an IKEA UTESPELARE desk which has a metal mesh rear edge which I was wary of fitting a dual monitor stand on. This seems a solid product, it's two pieces of weighty metal with a foam back so it doesn't mark. The desk is black and the plate looks like it's part of the desk. So far so good and the monitors are clamped firm.

Not much to say, they're solid metal plates that do their job well. The soft padding prevents damage to your desk nicely as well. I wanted white but wasn't going to pay twice as much for a different colour. A quick sand, sprayed them with primer and metal paint, now they look just as good... in case you wanted to save some money ;)

A must have for anyonecusing a monitor or mic arm that clams onto your table/desk. Saves the table from getting damaged and makes the monitor arm or mic arm much more study

Very solid. It has softpads to protect the desk on both the upper and the lower plates.

Expensive for what it is and I could have easily gone to a scrap yard and got a few cheap bits of metal, but in keeping with the quality of the desk setup. These are great.

Piastra utilissima per inforzare tutte le scrivanie che non hanno grossi spessori. L'ho utilizzata sulla mia scrivania per montargli sopra il supporto per monitor, conferendogli la giusta tenuta e stabilità. Prodotto consigliatissimo!!

Fácil de instalar y cumple su función, tengo un brazo con dos pantallas y la mesa no es de muy buena calidad y se estaba hundiendo tras ponerlo, el brazo quedó recto y con buen agarre. Si tú mesa es poco resistentes sin duda lo recomiendo (incluso para mesas resistentes y un brazo pueda dañarla)

The photos in the reviews show some white thing and that was weird. I was afraid this is some cheap garbage. But that's the poster/photo problem, not the product issue. Probably dust of something. There is a soft layer that contact the table surface and it's very nice and well attached to the steel. And it's as black as the steel part, looks fine. The steel part is sturdy and solid. I have an IKEA Bekant desk and I've put two Invision MX200 monitor arms on this single plate next to each other. They barely fit, but it still works well. For a single arm the plate may be too big. And for a small monitor it's probably not needed at all. But if you decide you need it then this one is good.

Works perfectly for my monitor/laptop setup on my desk!
