Great stuff!
Every page of this book (and each in the series) is filled with quality. The characters are alive, the story is well told and the illustrations are excellent. This is definitely a book that will capture a young person's imagination and get them reading. As a parent, what I like most of all about the Ivy and Bean series is the youthful energy they contain- they read as authentic to children, not like adults trying to write what they think children want to read. The Series Lives On!
My daughter was given then first 6 books as a birthday gift, and she loved them! Ever since, she has been on the lookout for each new book that comes out. I try to convince her to wait for the paperback, but she can't. Honestly, I am so glad she is into reading, and that these books are written well and deal with age appropriate issues. I would recommend these books to everyone (even my son reads them!)

Funny, engaging, my 7 yr old is in love
When you can get the grownups laughing out loud you know you've found a great children's book writer. This author has me rolling at times. The books are so engaging. We thought the fun would wear off after the first book or two but they are all fantastic. My child is about to turn 7. We've been reading Ivy and Bean for about a year. Can't get enough.

Ivy and bean is such a fun series. You learn a lot in them. This is my favorite one. Ivy and bean are so sweet. Why I like this book is because Ivy and bean work together to make a Party.

Me and my daughter love Ivy and Bean
My sister, a 1st/2nd grade teacher, recommended this book series after I was telling her the challenges of finding books for my 7 year old who is not quite ready for longer chapter books but to advanced for picture books and early readers. She was right, my daughter loves them and they are clever and fun to read aloud. I also like the female characters who are just the right amount of mischievous. Perfect.

Fun Series
I bought my 6 year old granddaughter an Ivy & Bean book on vacation. She loved it, she has now enjoyed them all. They are funny, and I even love to see what the girls will get into next. They remind me of some of my own experiences.

Daughter loves these books..
Reviewed by my 7 year old. My daughter has read many of the Ivy & Bean books. She says they are a bit more challenging than the Rainbow Fairy books(rainbow magic Fairy) series. She likes their adventures and the ideas in the books. Hope this helps! She would recommend these books.

great for kids
I cannot be happier with this find. The whole series are well written, very kid oriented. My 6 year old was simply captivated by these two girls and their adventures. We have reread each book at least twice now. Can't wait to see more published! Definitely a family must have book.
