Good quality canned seafood
The I purchase regularly canned seafood from Bar Harbor and these chopped clams were another good quality find. The clams are chopped, great to immediately serve. I like they aren't too salty, but the flavor overall is quite mild, not too fishy. They are tasty nonetheless. The clams have a chewy texture (nothing gritty or sandy), great food pasta and salads; added in chowders they would get too mushy, but you can simply add them before serving. There's not too much product in the can, a very small serving size. The can doesn't have an opening tab, not great on the go, but at home everybody has a can opener.

Good clam chunks but brine is watery, little flavor
Cls.are larger chunks then snow, I like that, but eating them raw and trying the juice was week. Watered down brine. In soup these are great chunks of large cherry stone.

Best canned clams
I purchased 3 small cans of a supermarket variety of chopped clams. After draining the brine, I was shocked to see barely enough clams to cover the bottom of the can. All three cans were like this. There weren't enough clams to make a pot of clam chowder. Whole Foods and Bar Harbor clams to the rescue! Large, fresh, tender meat and a fresh brine that smelled of the sea made my chowder a success. This is the only brand I will use in the future.

Great clams
Bought them for a clam sauce. They taste like they were just pulled from the water.

Contains booby-trapped-grit-bombs
Lighter one is Bar Harbor. Overall I'd say it's not worth the time to prepare. As visible from phone camera - Bar Harbor has a lot more meat with almost no visible gunk. But it contains lots of porous spongy pieces, and when you bite down on one of them you will realize your mistake and taste grit-flavored regret. Pro: Lots of meat Looks clean Con: Taste bland Spongy pieces contain INVISIBLE grits

I’m beyond baffled. On two different occasions, and I believe from two different suppliers, I’ve ordered 12x6.5oz tins of chopped sea clams and twice I’ve received only 1x6.5 oz tin instead of 12 6.5 oz tins. Do the shippers not know that One Dozen tins is equal to 12 tins? In fairness I did receive a full refund of the approximately $54 for the first order and I just received 1 tin from the second order yesterday. As for the quality of the product, from the ONE tin that I consumed from the first order, I’d give it a 5 out of 10. The tin was about 50% water and 50% clams. The flavour was not as sweet as other sea (bar) clams that I’ve tried but would be good enough for use in a chowder. I’m still hoping that I do receive the missing 11 tins from the second order.
