If you want modest license plate lights that aren’t ugly halogen yellow, these are perfect. If you want obnoxiously bright, stark white, LEDs then this is not for you. This is for people not wanting a lot of attention on their plates but would rather have a slightly whiter light than the stock yellow bulbs. I had bought high end LED bulbs for the license plate and they all have been TOO bright. Like, insanely, blinding rear drivers, and brighter than most car reverse lights bright.This is just a touch whiter, in my opinion, it looks more elegant without the obnoxious ghetto look of unrefined LEDs. (They still need to work on them, not everyone wants LEDs as bright as the sun with a hospital sterile white color). Yes, LEDs are a superior technology in every way but manufacturers still haven’t understood that not everyone wants maximum lumens and super white/Ghetto blue-white color.

Exactly what was hoping for

Not much to be said, they're a light bulb and they work. Light output is white, there is no question about that. With any blue shade on any bulb always remember you're losing some luminosity.
