SHIMANO XT RD-M8100-SGS RD-M8120-SGS Rear Derailleur - 12-Speed, Long Cage, Black

This derailleur is phenomenal!!! Shifting is amazing and no skipping at all.This 12 speed derailleur is being used with a Shimano slx 11 speed shifter and 11-51 SunRace cassette.

First off, I went ahead and installed the derailleur because my old one was broken and as any mtn biker I "needed" to ride. The broken piece is more a hassle than anything. The broken lever switch piece was in it's own bag inside the box. (pic 1). It was clearly a broken piece and I found where it was broken from immediately. Again, I didn't want to wait another 2 weeks for a new one. Once installed it shifts great and to their credit, it shipped quicker than expected. That said, this didn't break in shipping. Was this something that was returned and not inspected? I dunno.

Shimano's quality on this XT derailleur is simply excellent. Very precise, smooth and strong...I'd say that it takes much more abuse than the XTR ones. the only thing is that you have to do some maintenance on the clutch, make sure to clean it once in a while and put some waterproof grease on it (Check out for the instructions on Youtube).

Bullet-proof design and flawless manufacturing combine to make this Shimano component a great 'bang for your buck' purchase. This is my second one of these (this one's for my new bike) and the first one I bought has 750 miles of trouble free performance.

I upgraded my Kona from a 1x10 to a 1x12 drivetrain. The xt derailleur shifts smooth and does well when shifting while on an incline. Highly recommend the upgrade

Replaced my Deore derailleur with a the XT and shifting is more precise and crisp.

I’ve found Shimano 12 speed to be much more finicky and less reliable than 11 speed.

El producto llegó en el tiempo establecido.El packing muy bueno y con las cajas originales de Shimano.En mi caso el montaje no ha sido de serie, ha sido un montaje custom:-cassete sram 11v XX1 10/42 +corona de 50dientes.-cadena kmc gold 11v.-cambio shimano xt 12v.-mando shimano xt 12v.-bielas x01 eagle plato de 34.Todo funcionando perfectamente.

Tolles Schaltwerk zur angemessenen Preis. Als Ersatzteil für mein neues Fahrrad gekauft und bereits benötigt da das Original Teil nach kurzer Zeit bereits einen Fehler in der Kupplung aufwies. Sicherlich war das ein Produktionsfehler von Shimano. Sowas kann immer mal passieren. Das hier gekauft die Schaltwerk verrichtet nun schon seit mehreren 1000 km seinen Dienst zuverlässig.

Lo compre como nuevo pero cuando llego estaba usado,sucio con grasa de la cadena y pintado con rotulador para disimular el mal estado.Fue devuelto una hora después de recibirlo

Like most Shimano stuff it is a well engineered quality piece. My bike had a direct derailleur mount. After fiddling for hours I did some research and found out that it only works with a traditional derailleur mount. I've ordered a new traditional mount which I think should solve all of my problems.
