I love Mr. Fine products, because they make the perfect aftershaves. Thr American blend is strong but subtle. It won’t overpower you with fragrance, but it’s strong enough that my wife smells it at the end of the day still. Always leaves my skin feeling fresh and toned after a good shave.

This is a great men's cologne. It's a nice clean smell. Not a heavy scent.

This comes closest to the smell I remember from my visits to the barber in the 1960s.

After reading some of the reviews here, I thought it was worth a shot. Although, I was hesitant, because I couldn't actually smell the stuff, the price wasn't too bad. If I hated it, I would just dump it. A few years ago I started shaving with a double edge safety, mostly on a whim, I had received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and happened upon some razors, but also to avoid the cost of replacement cartridges--I was using a Mach 3. At any rate, I have been on a bit of binge for that last few years experimenting with different blades, shaving creams, brushes, and aftershaves. I think most men of a certain age remember the old time barbershop, before the arrival of the ubiquitous unisex salons, that they were taken to by their fathers. I'm not going to romanticize all barbershops. I've been to far more bad barbers than good. However, when you're 4 or 5 years old it can be an overload to the senses, particularly the sense of smell. And, I suppose I've been trying to find products that remind me of those early trips to the barber. Well, this stuff fits the bill. It immediately reminded me of those scents of my youth. It's a masculine and clean scent, without being musky, so you won't be smelling like a creepy cologne guy. And, contrary to some of the comments I found here the scent lasted all day, not one or two hours. OK, it may smell a little old man-ish to some. But, in a way, isn't that kind of the point?

I have been on an aftershave kick for the last week or so, I have spent well over a 100 dollars on this extravaganza. therefore I do desire to come clean on this aftershave. I have been satisfied on most of the aftershaves except the scent. This one appears to be just what I was seeking. The burn, the tightening, the toning and leaving no irritation of the face after a close shave is all there. Well, the scent is all there also. It does remind me of the old time barbershop smell and refreshment that is hard to come by these days. The scent reminds me of a clean barbersol smell that is crisp, clean and invigorating. This scent doesn't leave you before you can get out of the house. So, if you want a crisp old time experience of the old barbershop, give this one a try. I don't believe that you will regret it. Also, a quality aftershave is not cheap now days. The price does seem to be in conjunction with the quality... 02-12-19 This new bottle that I received, I'm not taking any stars because of a defective bottle mishap. This after all is my favorite everyday aftershave. This new bottle that I received had a lid that was stripped and did not screw on tight. I did NOT receive a completely full bottle. However, AMAZON took care of this mishap, fairly and very quickly. I WILL continue to buy this aftershave...

The American Blend is a unique scent that feels familiar even though it is an overall scent profile I have never smelled before. If Clubhouse smells like the 30s and 40’s, something about American Blend screams 50’s to me. These aftershaves are terrific for those who love the old-school stuff. Fine has breathed enough new life into the old classics to keep them interesting without just being re-hashes as well. Their soap is among the best I have used as well, I would put the formula/performance among top artisan houses such as B&M or Noble Otter. I imagine I will eventually try all of these scents. Love the post shave feel and scents of all the ones I have tried. Would rate higher than 5 if I could.

Ladies love it

The old formula of American Blend gets 5 stars. I can tell Mr. Fine has changed something in the formula. I still have an older bottle from last year to compare it to. Comparing this newer bottle from August 2017 with one I still have from 2016, I notice the new product has a weaker scent and doesn't last long at all. The older formula easily lasted all day and had a much more robust scent. As the new formula aftershave dries, I detect an alcohol astringency I've never noticed before. I've been using Fine American Blend since Mr. Fine began selling it in 2014, and it has been my all-time favorite ever since. Until now. Visually, the old formula has a distinctive yellow tint to it, while the new formula is almost clear. As a side note, American Blend was the only Fine aftershave that had any tint to it. Something's obviously changed, and not for the better. To put salt in the wound, Fine has increased the price from $15 per bottle to $20! Considering the new formula, it's not even worth the $15. Shaking my head, I never thought I would write this about my favorite aftershave. Shame.

Habe das Rasierwasser so gegen 17 Uhr bekommen und gleich ausprobiert. Der Duft ist einfach nur toll und sehr lange präsent. Mein Kopfkissen duftet herrlich nach Fine. Habe schon viele Rasierwasser ausprobiert die auch gut riechen aber leider nur kurz. Fine ist ja relativ teuer, aber es lohnt sich. Ich vergebe 5 Sterne 👍

Utilizzato in abbinamento al suo sapone. La fragranza è molto classica. Forse dilciastra. La persistenza è discreta. Le mie colleghe lo hanno sentito e l'hanno descritto molto maschile.

A fantastic aftershave, very fresh. Lovely scent and a good sting to it. Doesn't last too long, so hasn't prevented me from wearing something a bit stronger later on after shaving. That's a positive, not a negative.

Wonderful, decidedly masculine scent. Feels very nice once on with a touch of cooling. Last most of the day.
