Very sturdy and comfortable to grip. For me the tongs serve double duty - I am short so frequently use these to pull items from a kitchen shelf I can’t reach. They grip well, are strong and don’t flex with weight of item I am getting down. They perform every other kitchen function they are intended for with no issues. Perfect for me. At first I thought the price was high, but with the enhancement of silicone tips and that they are well constructed I don’t feel the price is out of line.

Well made shorter tong non metal tips for no scratches on pots & pans, very strong grips

wow the silicone heads are solid and don't move, like other brands. It is worth the extra money to get a great product. It has solid construction. and it's the perfect size.

The tongs are excellent quality. However, the angel of the tongs is off. They meet only at the tip. One can grab only a small amount at the tip. The other part is too far apart to grab a tong full of fries, etc.

I gave this 9 inch tongs to my husband as a Christmas gift. He really likes how useful it is. It is highly durable, easy to clean and easy to use. It is great value for the price.

First impressions: High quality 12 inch metal locking tongs that won’t scratch cookware. OXO has never disappointed me and these OXO Good Grips 12-Inch Tongs with Black Silicone Heads continue to impress. I had a pair of OXO metal tongs in the past without the Silicone and was very happy with them however I was always concerned with using them with certain cookware because I was afraid they may scratch the nonstick coating. These Tongs with the Silicon are just as good as my other ones but I can use them when I cook with my nonstick pans without worrying about scratches. The silicone seems to be high quality and work perfectly at any temperature my stove top can reach. They have an easy lock/unlock feature that can be used one handed. The 12 inch is the perfect size for using in the kitchen with most pots/pans. Conclusion: They are easy to use easy to grasp food with precision. They won’t scratch pots/pans and do not melt when working with high temperatures. Easy to clean and store. They are well designed and function exactly as you expect them to function. I would recommend these to anyone who likes to cook and enjoys high quality cookware.
