This Little Explorer: A Pioneer Primer

Great little history lesson. I even learned from it. I love that there are 2 reading level choices. You can read only the large print or you can also read the smaller details for older children. Though some of the credit they give to people in this book may not be 100% accurate, it tends to follow general knowledge of who is given credit for certain discoveries.

The artwork is super cute and the content is adorable and informative. I gave this to a social studies teachers for his work 'sprinkle' and he loved it. Nice board book, quality as you would expect. Nicely colorful.

My son loved This Little Scientist so much I decided to get this one as well. He immediately loved it. I understand the concern over including Columbus, but they correctly/more accurately credit Leif Erikson with discovering America and Columbus for getting lost looking for Asia. For a kids book I think that is a step in the right direction, and arms them for misinformation they may still get in school. Also full of explorers I didn’t know about. These books are great!

I bought this book for my 2 & 3 year olds. They both love it! It is engaging, not too wordy, and the illustrations are fun and historical. Love this book! Every toddler should have it!

My daughter (2) asks me to read this at bedtime. She enjoys it and she and her sister are learning nice little tidbits of history. Love this book.

Fun, age appropriate information with colorful illustrations & a chance to include my child in the reading. My 15 year old read this book to my 3 year old & found herself inspired to do some historical research! THAT makes a great book!

Great little book, a simple introduction for your little ones. Included are a few pages to give you an idea of the content. (As a mom I love having an idea of what the book will contain.) I will definitely be ordering more from this series!

Oh yes! YES YES YES. This is exactly the kind of book series I’ve been looking for. Simple, great vibrant pictures, short but interesting blurbs about each person, rhyming, people not so well known and obvious, both women and men and so on. This book has everything. Every check box is a biiiiig tick of approval from a teacher/parent. So much value in such a little book.
