DEWALT4-1/2 Inch Cut-Off Wheel, Angle Grinder Cutting Disc, General Purpose, 5-Pack (DW8062B5)

I’ve been using the DEWALT DW8062B5 Cutting Wheels for my metalworking projects, and they’ve been performing great. I usually use a diamond wheel when cutting metal with my angle grinder. Thing is a diamond wheel takes a long time to cut although it lasts a long time. So far these discs have held up decent and have a good cutting speed. Good price too.

When I ordered this I was not sure if they work as stated so I purchased to packs If I needed extra wheels to finish the job. I was shocked to see how well this really cut. With very little pressure on my grinder, I cut two pieced from a 4x4x1/4 inch tubing with ease. Later I cut through four 3/4 inch bolts and the wheel still looks like new. I have purchased many DEWALT cutting blades in the past but now realize if you have access to the area these cutting wheels are the way to go..

I bought these a while back and used one today. It cut perfectly through 3/8" and 5/8" rebar. I did 30 cuts on the 3/8" and 10 cuts on the 5/8" rebar. The reason for the 4 stars is that several small pieces of the cutting blade broke off on the 1sr few cuts but did not affect the overall performance. I would and have bought another pack of these. Great cutting blades.

These disks are super thin and doesn't seem like it will cut into anything. Then you turn on the side grinder and it cuts through iron railing decorative "grapes" like butter! You have to go slow but it cuts right through the metal. I used one disk to cut 14 "grape bunches" from my iron railings. They had three touch points and a significant amount of welding on two of the connections. Once I got the hang of it, it took me less than 30 minutes to remove one whole decorative piece and excess welding on the rails. Now I'm looking for projects that require me to cut metal!
