It is well constructed and made for use with legal softball or baseball bats.

Q: How big are both ends in comparison to the size of a baseball? The white end appears smaller and the yellow end about the same size. Am I correct?

The white end is slightly smaller than a baseball. The yellow end is slightly larger than a baseball. I started my son with the yellow end, then transitioned to the white end. Well worth the money.
