I just started using this moisturizer this week. I used to use a different 0.5% salicylic acid moisturizer that wasn't cruelty free. This one makes my skin feel so good, I can't stop touching my face! It's a real problem because I don't want to break out from touching my face so much. I don't detect a scent, and it absorbs quickly. It's moisturizing without feeling greasy. I would call the finish more satin than matte. No new breakouts since I started using it.

The aftermath results is that it leaves your face a little shiny like sunblock after a couple of hours. I usually my blemishing charcoal paper and pat my face so it helps with that extra step.I'm going to try to describe it the best that I can but usually all acne face washes will leave your face dry after you wash it. I've never has an acne face wash that didn't dry out my face. And when it did parts of my face would crack a little or peel. I get a lot around my nostril area and parts of my cheeks. This moisturizer will amplify it! It makes all those peeling skin very noticeable. If you have time to exfoliate kudos for you but if you're a sleepy office person who commutes & doesn't have time to spare... not so much. I often would have to dab concealer & it does make it cakey.

Moisturizing and hasn't broken me out but it feels slightly oily compared to the matte finish it has in the desc.Edit- I posted this about a year ago, and to this day I still use this moisturizer as well as their toner. Quite literally my holy grail. My face used to always end up oily in the middle of the day and ever since using this my face doesn’t get greasy yet it keeps my skin moisturized. It’s kept my acne at bay as well my skin used to frustrate me so much because of how “gross” it looked and felt. So affordable as well.

I have sensitive acne prone combination skin (IK I HAVE IT TOUGHT). This lotion really control oil production and doesn't let my skin look oily, although I have been feeling a bit of dry spots on my skin (the parts of my face that are dry, I HATE COMBO SKIN), anyways.... I have just solve the problem by applying some of my regular lotion and it works well. My only complain would be the smell, it has a quite strong scent, I have got used to it and it goes away after 30 min to Ill survive. I would like to mention that I have super sensitive skin and it doesnt burn and I have acne prone skin and it has not cause a breakout.

Great moisturizer but it has such a strong chemical smell I don’t know if I will continue to use it. Been trying to mask the smell with an eight saints lemon scented serum but needs so much to mask I wonder if it’s worth it. Overall kinda makes me sick to my stomach and wonder if I put off a chemical smell to others

I have oily skin mostly, with the occasional dry spot. I live in Las Vegas, it's hot, dry, high UV index, high wind, etc. Awful! This moisturizer has all the same properties of the much more expensive options, for much cheaper. In my climate, it could maybe be slightly more moisturizing, but, I always pair salicylic acid products with sunscreen anyway and my sunscreen added the moisture I needed. The finish is more satin and feels lightweight on the skin. No greasy feeling, no pilling, makeup sits nicely over it. It's be great at keeping my pores clean and helping with discoloration and texture in this harsh desert climate. All for less than $15. Buy it, it's a game changer.

Love this face scrub! The texture is perfect and leaves my skin feeling so fresh! I also love the minty scent.
