Great little sharpener! My buddy is a chef and he actually turned me on to this as a general knife sharpener. This is one of those new additions to you collection that will have you running around your house sharpening all of your blades. I stick mine on the fridge next to my food prep area and just hit the blade with a few swipes then follow up with a steel and you’re good to go.

Amazing that such a simple to use and inexpensive item works so well. The item is also very small and the edge of the blade lasts just as long as any other time I've sharpened them. Throwing out my $100 electric sharpeners.

This was so easy to use I sharpened every knife in my house the day I got it. From my kitchen knives to the boys pocket knives it worked fantastic and left a sharp edge. I was pretty impressed with how easily it took out the chips in their pocket knives especially.

So far it does everything it says in the ad. I sharpened all my knives and they are cutting 100 times better. I like the easy suction and removal from counter top. Perfect size and easy to store.

I have never used a sharpener before. As a precaution, I used a dull knife that I didn't care for I ruined because the instructions are lacking. Once I got the hang of it, I used it on my nice knives and what a difference! I would definitely recommend this product. Just make sure you test it out and get a good feel for it.

Not the best and not the worst sharpener. Worked good on some knives but others it would not give a sharp edge to. I would not purchase again but I'm not throwing this one out either. This item is puny, tiny, small.

This is a great little tool for the kitchen. After buying mine my mother came to visit, she loved it so much she bought six, one for her the rest to give as presents. It sharpens knives very well, and the fact that it sticks solidly to any smooth surface is fantastic! I have mine on a cabinet door, it takes up no space and is always handy for a quick sharpen. Since I bought my first a few years back I have noticed a decline in the quality of this tool's body. Mine is made of a nice sturdy metal, but all the others I've bought through the years are plastic. This does not make them any less good as they still sharpen knives very well and stick very solidly to whatever smooth surface you choose.

My wife is a chef so over the years we have accumulated all sorts of knife sharpeners and this is the one that seems to get the most use. It is effective and is easy to use. After use the little bits of steel stuck on it show that it is actually doing something but I do wonder if this also means that it is wearing the knives down quicker. As my wife is often buying new knives this, for us, is not a major issue.Looking at some of the other reviews there are comments that it comes unstuck from a surface easily. We use it on top of a large butchers block next to where the knives are stored and it does come unstuck after a while but I have never found any of these suckers which will hold for more than few minutes on anything other than glass so this was not unexpected and is not a deal breaker. I also found one comment that pushing down the locking bar without injuring the thumb on the cutter was hard. I have found it impossible to simulate this and it seems to me to be perfectly safe.

I already had one of these and purchased this one as a Christmas present for my brother-in-law. He's very happy with it and said that his knives have never been as sharp as they are now. The strong suction cup fixes it firmly in place and then all you need to do is pull the knife through lighly to sharpen. Can't recoomend enough.

This does not seem to sharpen like the one I bought from Asda which I unfortunately lost during a move. The other one was brilliant. I question the authenticity of this product !

Works as described. Does sometimes lose suction on the kitchen worktop. Overall a great sharpener which also sharpens serated knives, but does require more force to work on some larger blades.
