Fast Paced Mystery with Romance, Thrill and Lots of Riddles
Overall I really enjoyed this book, almost couldn’t put it down! It took me a little while to get past the insanity of the basic plot but once I delved into the world I loved it! Lots of twists and turns, always keeping you guessing. I guessed about half of the ending by about halfway through but I really enjoyed how it tied together towards the end. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing where the riddles, clues and hints take the cast of characters!

Enthralled since Page 1
Loved this book! It’s got everything a reader needs: mystery, romance, drama, thrill etc. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! This was an extremely quick read and I recommend it if you are having a reading block.

engaging story
I found this story engaging, if not thrilling. I was hoping for more with the number of players in the story. The whole “Emily” thing being such a huuuuge part of the fill, only to end up as a blip in the plot, was disappointing. The lack of wallop left characters as a group one dimensional and the overall story hollow. I would have thought at least the mfc would have been better developed and more dynamic if Emily was going to end up less important to the story than expected. It kept me reading, though, thinking it might happen, but it didn’t. I rated this the way I did because the idea of the story was intriguing, it was well written (as in, “readable”), and I am a bit of a bread crumb follower myself, and will finish the series, if only to know if this author manages to deliver on what she promises. This may be a wind up?

Entertaining
A clever read, full of twists and turns, but with an ending that isn't quite one -definitely a second part coming.

great read
Initially, I did not think I would continue reading this book. There were too many characters to keep straight. Further into the book as I learned more about each member of the Hawthorne family, the story became more clear and interesting. It was hard to put down. This was a fun story to follow with lots of mystery. I highly recommend, especially if you like a good mystery.

Quirky, fun read; well defined characters
You'll fall for the brothers and their quirky family. Well thought out plot line. Easy summer read. Wish it included a map showing the mansions layers and grounds.
