Wish I had purchased berdan deprimer sooner!
I have many berdan primed cases that I reload. I have tried every method any crazy person had invented on the internet to deprime the cases and and all of them failed or had a less then 50% success rate. They either damage the case or make a heck of a mess. I had always seen the less then stellar reviews of this item and just passed it by. Being desperate for a better solution I thought I would give it a shot. WOW is all I can say. The first case I tried out of the box "without adjusting" I messed up the primer anvil. So I actually read the direction and made a few adjustments. As long as the adjustment is correct for the given case size this thing worked great! I even have some 8mm Mauser military crimped cases that I deprimed and had no issue at all. Just go easy and don't force it. When done correctly this primers literally pop right out. The key to the adjustment is to get the metal point into the fire primer pocket in order for the pick to get foot hold. If you have the patience to take your time and set up the primer puller correctly you will find this is really quick and easy and a wonderful 100% success rate solution. I would buy this again. Sorry I waited so long.

It really does work!
After reading others' experiences with this tool for the last couple of years, I finally sprung for it. It works! and it works quickly. The key is adjusting the pin to the correct depth. It was not hard to get it adjusted just right. I recommend wearing leather gloves to keep from wearing a hole in your hand from using it. I already used it to decap a few hundred 7.62 x 39 shells. There were only a few that I couldn't get out..... these were military rounds, and they were crimped. The manufacturer says not to use it for military rounds because of the difficulty with the crimping, but it was not that big of a deal. Again, the key is in the initial adjustment for whatever round you are doing. Just a little practice to get it consistent, and you are off!

Works with skill
Does exactly what its made to do. A crude way of pulling primers but works. Now if I can just buy the berdan primers. Im set up.

Berdan decapper
This is a decent product but could be re-engineered. Becareful with the tip as they are fragile. It broke after ten primer's. RCBS sent two to replace it no problem. It needs to set just right or you will have problem's.

Maybe user error?
Third case I went to de-cap, (ping-fwoosh) the point on the tool doing all the work, sheered and disappeared. Abra ka dabra, gone forever.

This was given as a gift; however, I ...
This was given as a gift; however, I have one of these as well, and it works exactly as it should. Of course, it must be adjusted for the casing/cartridge/primer diameter one is working with, so there is a bit of trial and error associated with getting it right - but - when it "is" adjusted, it works perfectly. Just be sure that the primer has been "spent" because it will ignite "unspent" primers when it is used.

Excellent tool, works better than expected
Excellent tool, works better than expected! I have over 1600 rounds of Swiss GP11 and can't stand the idea of not reloading it.

Do NOT buy this projuct, it does not work and broke on the first try!
Title says it all! WAY to expensive of a product, broke the first time I tried to remove a Berdan primer from 303 British round. Followed instructions (poorly written), and even watched several video's on it use. The extractor pin broke the first time I used it! This is the first RCBS product I have purchased and wow that really leave a lot to be desired. Sending it back!
