Works great on 2005 Toyota Camry!
I have a 2005 Toyota Camry that has the stock stereo and does not have an aux plugin. This plugs right into the back of the original OEM stereo in a spare plug space (I think this empty plug is for the 6-disc changer which my car doesn’t have). To use after installed, choose CD mode and it will play your phone or mp3 device. I added the aux pin to small apple charger adapter so it would work with my iPhone and it works great. Steering wheel controls also will skip forward/back on songs which is nice. I do agree with other reviews that the volume level is reduced compared to the radio, but not there is no reduction in sound quality or noise distortion. Just have to make sure to turn down volume before switching to radio. I just installed this weekend so can’t comment on longevity but it works! To install I watched some videos online on removing my car’s stereo. Very easy. I used an auto trim removal kit (purchased here) for about $10 which was totally worth it to not scratch my dash. I removed the air control panel, then the stereo/vent panel, pulled a couple bolts and the stereo unit pulled right out. Plugged in this aux cord addition and fed the aux cord into the glove box. The aux line is a little short running it this way but I can plug my phone into it and hold it in the drivers seat so it’s long enough; one more foot would be great though. I left the control box in the stereo space although I imagine it could also be stored in the glovebox to allow a little more room on the cord. Some people run the cord out their center console, I didn’t want to remove that much trim. Works great. As an FYI, I’m late 30s female and did the trim removal, stereo removal, cable installation, and re-installation by myself in less than 30 min (watch videos to see how to pull your stereo first).

Works and good price to get Aux in an old car
Don't usually write reviews cause im lazy but i hope this helps. Wanted an aux to play tunes on my vans stereo. Installed this on my 04 sienna. Folowed a youtuve video which took 20min total. Basically when I press the CD button on my van it shows a CD is playing its first track, but its playing whatever is connected to aux.No track listing on the dash, but my phone is showing me that.Audio quality is perfect, tho i have to turn the volume up.Other reviews said the aux pin breaks so i got a female to male aux extender from amazon to not only give me extension but a higher quality pin that wouldnt break.

Best $20 I’ve spent all year.
For $20 it allows me to play digital music on my older car. Easily one of the best bang for your buck products out there. The connector that goes into the radio is a little tight and requires some force but that’s not the end of the world. The audio is clear. I stored the box behind the radio and allowed the pigtail auxiliary cord to come up on the side of the consul by the drivers legs. Press CD and go.

Works great! Just what I needed
Update: The tip of the audio jack broke off inside my phone!! After maybe 20 uses, MAX. Which left my phone unable to use any headphones at all until I managed to get it out with superglue. Super cheap construction, get what you pay for clearly.Works great! Just what I needed, and the install was easier than I expected. I have a 2005 Toyota Matrix.

Perfect sounds clear
I have 2004 Scion xA with a Pioneer model T1801 radio (has no Aux). Hooked it up, pressed CD function. Now I'm jamming to music. Should have done this a long time ago instead of buying those radio frequency converters. I can put the voulme up with no grainy sound. I hooked it up to a Bluetooth receiver and had no problems. I can't changed songs via stock radio, but I don't care I finally have music with no interference. Sounds clear.

Wow! So easy and such a BIG upgrade. Unbelievable that it only cost this much to add an AUX cord
Took 20 minutes to install if you have the right tools. So easy, so good sound quality compared to the FM thing I had before. And only $20? Wow. The FM thing was already $30 before. Amazing. Wow. Bought a separate bluetooth adapter so I wouldn't need to depend on anything bluetooth related that is hard wired behind the dash.

Worked great. Long enough cable from the radio connector to ...
Pros: Worked great. Long enough cable from the radio connector to the box.Cons: an extra foot or two (or three) would come in handy to be able to plug into the phone. I ended up picking up a 3-ft extension cable and bound all of the extra wires together in the glove compartment.

Best way to play audio in older cars
The sound quality isn’t the same as a newer car with built is aux or Bluetooth, but for playing audio in an older car, this is by far the best option. Video install guides on YouTube are very helpful. Installed by myself successfully in under 20 minutes.
