They mount directly to the end of an industrial fluorescent Luminaire or an electrical junction box through a standard 1 /2โ knockout using the provided lock-nut. Designed for mounting heights of up to 30 ft (9.1 0 m), High Bay Occupancy Sensor provides PIR occupancy detection over a 15-20 ft (4.57-6.10 m๏ผradial coverage pattern that overlaps the areas lit by a typical high bay fixture. These sensors are economical solution for providing automatic lighting control where a wall switch replacement sensor is not applicable. They are ideal for individual on/off control of T5/T8 fluorescent lighting. โRatings The product models with input voltage of 120/277 /34 7 VAC have the following ratings: @ 120 VAC , 0-800W lncand/FL/LED/CFL @ 277 VAC , 0-1200 VA lncand/FL/LED/CFL @ 347 VAC , 0-1500 VA lncand/FL/LED/CFL The low voltage product model has the fllowing ratings: Input - 24-48 VDC, 60 Hz , 20mA Dimming load: Sinks <20mA; -40 Ballasts@ .5mA eachโFeatures120/277 VAC , 60 Hz Ouicksnap feature for easy installationFast, easy time delay setting from 15 seconds to 30 minutesManual Calibration: Optimize energy savings and operation by manually configuring the Daylighting Set PointCalifornia Title 24 CompliantโOptionsProvides dimming outputs to control 0-10 VDC dimmable ballasts Provides a second occupancy time-out period that enables the lights to go to a dim setting before turning off Adjustable max/min dim setting Review: I liked the 1st sensor so this is my 2nd one purchased. The ECOELER Motion Sensor Switch is a nice product. I mounted it to the end of a LED shop light to activate the light when we entered the garage from the house. Works flawlessly, and puts light safely on the stairs before you reach them. Well overdue upgrade to my light. If you need motion sensoring for a shop light, this is your ticket. Buy this! Update: The sensor still operates as designed; however, the sensitivity has lessened. When first installed, it was so quick to activate I felt a challenge materialize. I proceeded to attempt a "surprise" to catch it in the off mode. I was not successful as the thing would key off the movement of the door. Now, I can open the door and get to the first step before it triggers. I still like it and recommend it for your application, but wanted to provide an update.

I prefer not using light switches in my garage since our hands are usually full if we're in there. But I also don't like running our "fan blade" LED bulbs 24/7, because it decreases their lifespan and they do chew through a decent amount of electricity. So I bought this to control them automatically. Installation was straightforward. I didn't have a junction box to connect it to, since our garage has open rafters and the junction box is between rafters, which would have reduced visibility to the sensor. I made it work using industrial-grade velcro. My only gripe is the claimed sensitivity of 20 feet. My garage is 20x20, with a door on one side and washer/dryer on the opposite wall. I mounted it around halfway between them, a little closer to the door, and around 9' high. I thought I'd have ample coverage wall to wall. But in reality, I have to step fully through the door to be detected, and if we spend too much time at the washer, it turns off the light. So, actual sensitivity seems to max out around 10-12 feet (diagonally from the sensor to your center of mass).

Review for the YM2501A, overall positive. This is a good little unit, comes with 2โ of wire, good detection range when mounted at 7', and holds on as long as motion is present. For non-technical people, all Neutrals (whites) wire together (sensor, fixture, and building), then connect the red from the sensor to the Line of the fixture(typically black). It is ok to have red and black together for this. Then the sensor black ties to the building wire that is hot or switched (often black or red). Big side buttons are to release the unit from the wiring harness for adjustment of the settings after installation, as the adjustment dials will be facing the ceiling, so there is no need to take the fixture back down. As of now, I am attributing its low cost to just being very basic. If there are any cons, I'd say "light" adjustment is not mentioned in the instructions, or even what that feature is supposed to be. My fixtures are in closets so it does not matter and I am not going to worry about trying to test. Instructions also say the minimum โon'' time is 30 seconds, but mine is 15 seconds. Overall, works well for me, so 5/5.
