I have too many books so this filled up right away after I finished it. But it holds all the books well and seems steady! Also for being fake wood, it still looks pretty nice and natural. Didn’t take too long yo build either. I think I finished it an hour? (It but was 1 am, I was dead tired) for the price, the size and quality is pretty good! I may get a second

Overall great for me but I can understand the other reviews complaints. There was a missing screw hole which makes it less sturdy but it’s not being pushed on anyway. Easy to assemble. Instructions seemed off but still easy to figure out without them. Good for the price. Not fantastic but I’m happy with it and it matches my space.

I needed a small hutch, and couldn’t find the size and features I wanted on any websites. Buying the materials to build what I wanted was going to cost $150. I found this “seconds” unit on Amazon for a discounted price of $50. When it arrived, it looked like it had never been opened. It was essentially brand new. Assembly was pretty easy. I installed the bottom shelf half way up, with permanent screws. Then used the included shelf on adjustable shelf supports above that. It makes a perfect cubby for my remote-work laptop when it’s not being used. I added a shiny metal mesh inside the back panel for light reflection (purchased from Home Depot website for $40). Altogether I saved $60 and a lot of time by altering this unit instead of building from scratch. I’m very happy with this purchase.

On page 4, board 'E' needs to be screwed with screw 'M' to the top cabinet and lock in place with bottom cabinet. Not the other way around as listed in page 4. So building the top cabinete first is better. And if there is a hole for nut lock 'L' on boards 'A' or 'B', then put it in there though not specified on the diagram or instructions. I was agitated because I took the cabinet apart 2-3X but I knew something was off about the instructions. I would have to say it was a riddle. It was rewarding to find the error and no refunds and extra transactions needed. But I am patient, you may not have others out there with my tolerance. Good cabinet though.

The bookcase itself is exactly what I needed; the color is great and it is sturdy. The holes for all of the shims and screws were accurate and they went in nicely. The problem is the instructions were awful. It almost seemed as if it was missing a page and the illustrations were not very clear at all. I reassembled twice and I’m not 100% confident that it is assembled correctly (the back of the bookcase seems off). Thankfully the integrity of the bookcase is solid and the purpose for my use isn’t for storing books so I’m satisfied with the bookcase. I will note that it took me ~3 hours with a manual screwdriver to complete. If you are more capable of assembling and don’t require instructions to put together then I’d get this bookcase because it is sturdy and looks great.

My friend is good at constructing shelves put this together for me. He noticed that some part of the instructions were incorrect because it Told him to put a P spacing inside that should be facing outside. Just use your common sense because there may be a part of the instructions that are incorrect.

I love it because it is deep enough and by using only one shelf, I can put my 3-ring binders in it.

The hardware was well packaged and labeled but it sure threw me when I first opened the box. Incredibly it all went together smoothly, just follow the directions carefully. It's sturdy and nice for the price.

Because the piece marked "G" was cut 1/8" too short, this bookcase could not be made square. Also, there is a blatant mistake on the assembly instructions where piece "G" is shown; it is reversed to how it must be put on in order to have the pre-drilled holes be available for the screws on the backing to match up. And trying to contact a rep at Amazon for the return process should not have taken over 1-1/2 hours, either. One cannot just dismantle a bookcase & shove it back into the box to send it back. This was such a disappointment!
