Tavares Brothers struck gold with his 1976 Disco flavored album now CD, all you heard in the summer of 1976, Heaven , Must be Missing an Angel, < Don't take away the Music", Sky High, The power of Love", From originally from outside of Providence RI, later transplanted into MA. , inspired by their late Mother, church going ,strict,that provided the inspiration to create those danceable,romantic songs, later on with the Succes of Whodunit", then late 1977, "More than a Woman feattured in "Saturday Night Fever" Soaring vocals ,Lead' back up featuring the strings of Freddy Perrin and the finest music like drummer James Gadson, this is probablyTavares best efforts, enjoy.

I purchased the CD Sky High by the Tavares for my father he LOVES IT!!! It was is great condition, came quickly, and sounds phenomenal! My dad is reliving his glory days!!!

VERY GOOD I LIKE SONGS BUT TO ENJOY I WILL HAVE MAKE A COPY OF TO ANTHER CD SO I WILL ONLY HEAR SONGS I LIKE ONCE NOT 3-5 TIMES FIRST PART WAS OKAY BUT EXTRAS WERE ON IT TOO MUCH REPEAT MUST PLAY FOR 25 MINUTES BEFORE SONG BROUGHT COMES ON.

Tracks 9 and 10 were not divided into 2 parts soley for the US release, but the single was released that way internationally.2. Track 4 and track 13 are the SAME 1976 mixes. Only difference is that track 13 is the stand alone version, while track 3 fades into track 4. I find it nice to also have the stand alone version on this CD-issue. But most important: this is NOT the 1985 'Irresistible Angel' 12" Mix by Ben Liebrand.3. Ben Liebrand didn't make the remixes especially for the UK, so track 11 and 12 are not UK versions, but international versions.4. Track 14 is wrongly listed as 'Irresistible Angel Mix'. Bad research!5. The booklet or track listing doesn't mention Ben Liebrand as remixer at all. Just forgotton or again badly researched?6. This edition should also have given life to the 'Irresistible Angel' 12" Mix of 'Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel'. There were just enough minutes left on the CD. Too bad, and really disappointing.

Tavares released their debut album Check It Out in January 1974 on Capitol Records. The album was produced by Johnny Bristol and gave the five brothers two hit singles.Sky High was their fourth album for Capitol Records. The album was released in May 1976 and was produced by Freddie PerrenThere were three singles released from the album.The first single was Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel. This song written by Freddie Perren and Keni St Lewis was split into two parts. Part one reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot100 chart.The second single was Don't Take Away The Music. This song released in October 1976 reached number 34 on the Hot100 chart.The third single was Mighty Power Of Love. This song written by Freddie Perren and Keni St Lewis was a number 25 hit in Britain.This reissue on soulmusic.com records in 2011 includes six bonus tracks and is well worth a listen.
