perfect fit

Price is right
Easy replacement for sunchaser awning. although you must trim plastic tab from inside of end capto seat fullyy on old style aluminum housing.. Fully inspect before ordering replacement item, you may only have to reinstall ratchet spring and save yourself some money.

Fit perfect.
This was exactly what we needed to fix our awning ourselves! Just had to remove the clips on the inside to get the cap to fit properly because we have an older awning. Directions were detailed and very very helpful.

Probably needs modifying.
It might take modifying to fit your awning. There are several videos showing removal of two tabs inside. On my vintage camper, I also had to drill a hole in the awning tube. After fitting it to the tube and winding the spring I realized the rod mount to the awning leg was different. After an hour of drilling and grinding I was able to bolt it together. It seems to be working well so far.

Direct Factory Replacement 8300 Series Sunchaser Awning
Perfect replacement for my 10’ Dometic Sunchaser 8300 series awning. Make sure your old inner shaft is hollow and not solid because there are two different types and it makes a difference. I replaced the awning fabric last week and discovered an issue with bushing coming loose causing the rod end to become heavily scored. I was able to repair the old torsion spring so I have a spare now. The new replacement was an exact match and came shipped in a heavy round tube so it was well protected. I made sure the set screw on the bushing was tight before installing. Awning works great now, rolls up nice and smooth thanks to the new torsion spring.
