Jaguar F-Pace diesel STJLR.03.5007 spec
with the Iran war engine oil got a bit scarce and expensive lately. The German synthetics I normally run aren't even available right now and all of the other in spec versions are difficult to get. Decided to try the Valvoline that meets the specification, that I didn't even know existed. The raw oil sample shows a very good additive package. it looks like this may be the perfect USA made oil to use in the JLR diesel.

The engine is 1 4 tsi Volkswagen, with the original oil, the temperature during uniform movement was 103-105 degrees Celsius, on this male 107.(operating modes are the same). The service life of this oil is 1 week. The rest is a positive experience.

This Oil has the OLD “SN” oil rating, do NOT use in a DI engine.
This has the old API “SN” rating and should never be used in a direct injection engine. Only use “SP” rated motor oil in direct injection engines or major damage might occur. They use too much calcium in the older SN rated oils, calcium can cause pre-ignition in direct injection engines possibly burning a hole in a piston. Do a little research and you will see this is a fact.
