Still the best in the business! I'm gonna use it til the wheels fall off!
I have tried other trackball mice on the market but keep coming back to this one, the gold standard for ergonomics, in my opinion. I recently had to stop using the two Elecom trackball mice that I purchased to replace my aging Logitech Trackman mice and after 6 months or so of continued use, I just couldn't continue to keep using them because of the constant cramping and stiffness that I would develop during long CAD work sessions. I work out of two offices so having two Trackman mice is essential for my productivity so when I found this Trackman here on Amazon, I did not hesitate to pick it up and WOW, was I shocked to find that this Trackman really was NEW IN THE BOX! It literally was, but hilariously, the box really shows just how old this trackman is. Obviously the Trackman works perfectly and after a couple of hours of use, I can really tell just how many hours my other two Trackman have on them. The response of this new one is definitely superior to my other two but even my old Trackman mice are vastly superior to any other solution available for Trackball users out there.

Gotta love it
I tend not to have a great deal of space around my keyboard and being able to move a mouse around can be an issue. Even if using a mouse, I dislike the feeling I get in my wrist with it constantly sliding on the edge of the desk. Instead, for many years, I have used trackballs and I love them dearly. I find this one by Logitech to be one of my all time favorites, with a nice number of configurable options and a ball you move with your fingers instead of your thumb - I have found that my thumb will get tired using that style. Generally, my middle finger works the ball, the thumb the click, back and forward buttons, index finger the scroll wheel and associated buttons, and the ring finger does the right click. Very precise and highly customizable, I suppose it could be improved by ... acting as a receiver for your mind and directly acting on the thoughts rather than requiring you to move your fingers ...

I love this product!
I have used one of these for the last few years and I absolutly love it. I ordered this one for a co-worker and she now loves hers. It looks like Logitech is phasing these out so I'm thinking I had better order a spare!

Love this trackball!
I've been using this trackball for 4 years now and it still works great.Battery life for me is about 4 months, using regular AA alkaline batteries. The textured coating wore of/peeled away after about 2.5 years of daily, 8 hour use. I accelerated the process and now it looks shiny black, looks good and still works great. The left click button has also worn off after so much use. I fixed that by coating it with clear nail polish.... I'd recommend taking a preventive step and putting the nail polish before the buttons actually wear off.I really like the personalizeable buttons, the scroll wheel and the continuous scrolling buttons and that the ball is moved using your fingers and not your thumb. Great choice of product and got rid of the forearm ache I had from using a mouse.I was going to buy a 2nd one, but it's no longer $55, which is what I paid for it on a local shop, so now I got a Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse, which is a lot cheaper and has also been working ok for me.

THis is one of the best I had and still have - for last 3 ...
THis is one of the best I had and still have - for last 3 years. A little bit outdated receiver ( bulky ) and for whatever reasons, once a while driver giving problem : stop seen mouse, then in 5=8 mins after several plugging / unplugging works again for months. Sure, price ridiculous -shall not you pay over $100 for a mouse ( I got my refurbished and 3 years is fine.) . But ergonomically is is the best.
