Description

Michael Douglas and Demi Moore star in this thriller based on the novel by Michael Crichton. Manager Tom Sanders (Douglas) misses out on promotion to a new face in his computer company - the power-dressing go-getter Meredith Johnson (Moore). Coincidentally an ex-lover of Tom, who is now happily married, Meredith attempts to revive old passions, but when her advances are spurned she promises to take revenge and the next morning Tom is accused of sexually harassing her. With pressure from his bosses to save the company from scandal, Tom decides to fight the allegations in court but Meredith refuses to be easily brushed aside and seems determined to ruin his life, starting with his career.

Excellent movie!!!

How can anyone not love this movie? For the reviewers with this so called type cast for Douglas…I guess you’ve only seen Basic Instinct. He is an Oscar winning actor and brilliant just like his father. Demi Moore by the way has more of a type cast as a sexual character than he does, but I hate her so much in this movie it makes her an excellent casting choice. Donald Sutherland is fantastic as usual and basically everyone is except Dennis miller which just wanted an HBO shoutout at the dinner they went to. This sheds so much light on sexual harassment and abuse of power. It’s all about power! One thing I was never clear on is the ending when he calls her out on her screw up changes and causing the merger to possibly not happen. Did Donald Sutherland not know this and that’s why he fired her or did all 3 of them involved in this plan get played by Douglas? I wish there would have been an explanation on that. Either way I can watch this movie over and over and love every minute!
