TExES Journalism 7-12 (256) Flashcard Study System: TExES Test Practice Questions & Review for the Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (Cards)

I love the study cards. They save me the time of making my own. I can take them on the go and study anytime. They are full of valuable information. As a journalism major, there were things I learned that I did not learn in skill, and also things that I didn’t remember. It was a refresher for me.

They are easy to use and cover all the material that is needed to know for the test.

So these “flash cards” are traditional flash cards. Instead of the information short and sweet on the back, these cards have a lengthy and sometimes multiple paragraph backside. And they come in perforated sheets that you have to tear apart. Not a big deal but 50 bucks should get you precut cards. Having said all this the content of the cards is...eh. I have a background in social studies so I knew the court cases already and the history of journalism. I also dabble around in photography. But I took a protest and made a 56% so I ordered these cards. I crash studies the day before for 5 hours and thought I would bomb the test but scored 85%. So it’s hard to argue they didn’t help. I did see info on the test from the cards but also saw some on the test that were not on the card.My advice. Get the cards. Go through 1/3 of them. Then highlight the important stuff on the back and go through them again. Separate the ones you know and redo the ones you don’t. Repeat for every third. It’s what I did and it worked.
