Good scent and very easy to use to clean my washing machine. I have a top loader and it refreshed my washing machine.

Supreme Clean Probiotic Washing Machine Cleaner – Removes Odor Caused by Mold, Mildew & Bacteria in Top Loaders, Front Loaders & HE Machines – 6 pouches is used to get rid of certain types of stuff that collects anywhere there's water.I think it's a good idea to clean a washing machine periodically and these pouches are used to get rid of mold, mildew & bacteria that may have collected in the machine or the pipes.

I do not dare try this product - I have a septic system and this product does not state it is safe for septic systems (the product description on Amazon is vague). I use Affresh, which is less expensive, I chose that brand because it stated clearly on the box it is safe for septic systems.I tried to do research on this product and then gave up, I'd have to invest hours of research into this issue. The product should clearly state that it is or is not safe for septic systems. I'd rather use less chemicals than Affresh, but I am not going to risk damage to my septic tank. It does state that it is safe with HE washing machines, which is helpful.

This cleaner managed to drastically improve my 13 year old front loading washing machine. I had seen a progressive build up of gunk in the door seal and in the water inlets in the plastic rim of the tub. Repeated cleaning with bleach and running washing machine cleaning cycles with bleach, vinegar (not at the same time) and hot sanitary washes still would not fix the issue. It had got to the point that if I left a load sitting in the machine with the door shut for an hour after a wash, it would end up smelling mildewy and gross.I honestly did not have high hopes for a product that was free from bleach or boric acid and relied on probiotics. Following the instructions, I poured the contents of one pouch into the detergent dispenser of my machine and let it sit overnight (12 hrs). The next morning I ran an empty cold rinse cycle and left the door closed for 6 hrs (with a sticky note on it to remind the family to leave it alone) and then I opened it up to the lovely clean scent of nothing at all. No mildewy odor, no funky fragrance - just a nice clean machine. I ran an extra rinse cycle just to be on the safe side.Pulling back the seal to check the drum lining showed that the slimy orange buildup that I was constantly cleaning was gone! There was still some residue higher up on the sides where the empty wash likely did not reach since my machine calculates the volume of the wash by the weight and so probably did a very small rinse. The box states that each pouch should continue working on keeping the machine clean over the next 30 days. I will definitely be checking the seal to see if the gunk comes back.Being a bit fussy about chemicals, I then checked the company website where you can find the ingredients and Safety Data Sheet.The pouch only states that it contains Benzyl Benzoate and Sodium Hydroxide and says you can look up more ingredients on the website. I have attached pictures of both.The ingredients from the company website are : Water, Surfactant, Polysorbate 80, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Bacillus Cultures, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Fragrance, Methylisothiazolinon, Chloromethylisothiazolinone, Benzyl Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide.Of these, both Methylisothiazolinon and Chloroethylisothiazolinon are biocides as well as preservatives. So, my one concern is that packaging probiotics with a biocide seems a bit disingenuous. If you have sensitivities to MCI, this may not the product for you. It would have been nice if the company chose to put the entire ingredient list on the box instead of implying the work was done by the probiotic. Either way, it does work. It all depends on how comfortable you are with the ingredients.

This product left my washing machine clean and smelling really fresh. I have used this product multiple times. It works well at keeping your washing machine clean and fresh so it will clean your clothes smelling fresh. I use this cleaning product regularly for the maintenance of my washer. I have had no foil smells or mold on my washing machine. Easy to use with the built-in cleaning cycle of my washer.Hope you found this review helpful!
