"Yeah, Mr. White. Yeah, SCIENCE!"

I used to only ever use Truvia. I was a die hard, always getting it specifically even when it's just stevia... I went to a place and got a coffee. It wasn't sweetened so I went to the little nook they had which had many sugars so I took one of each to try later while I used my regular at the time. I made tea at home and tested each sugar. Here was my take: White (normal) was fine, but too much feels like candy. Cane was better and had a "softer" sweetness so while you can still do to much, there is more wiggle room, or better room to hit that sweetness "sweet spot." The blue (aspartame) is stated to be 200x sweeter than regular sugar, that said, it wasn't great with a mild aftertaste. Now sucralose, you don't talk about it, you EXPERIENCE it. When I first tried it officially, not a curious kid, it was mind blowing. This stuff punches compared to other sugars with 600x sweetness to normal sugar, and ya, it gas a slight aftertaste but that is less than the blue and only if you have too much. Now here's the kicker, 'too much' differs depending on purity. Splenda, as well as others, add fillers like dextrose and maltodextrin. They do this so they can measure 1:1 with sugar which in turn lowers the purity. Now I don't know about you, but if 2lbs of sugar is roughly $4 and the same for Splenda is roughly $23, I'll probably bite the bullet and take the regular sugar. Heck, I could get almost 11.5lbs for that price, no thank you... BUT remember that SUCRALOSE is rated to be 600x that of sugar, so in theory, 2lbs should really be equal to 1,200lbs of sugar! So, what gives? To put it simply, food making requires certain characteristics in a sugar that an artificial sugar can't replicate. Some things specifically need sugar like caramel because artificial substitutes do not melt or can undergo caramelization at normal temperatures, some even degrade or become bitter when heated. BUT, you're in luck! You can use a sweetener pretty much anywhere as long as you don't need to heat the sugar in the process, like drinks, sauces (mostly cold - like salad dressings but some hot as long as browning is required), oatmeal, no-bakes, fruits... Now if you recall, Splenda basically has 10% purity with 90% filler which leads to a sweetness ratio of 1:1 with sugar. This product however is 100% pure, meaning it has the ratio of 1:600 with sugar. So if sugar is $2/lb (453.6g), that means it is $0.0044/g while pure sucralose is $50/lb or $0.11/g, but if we take sweetness in account then it becomes $0.000184/g. Now yes, $50 is a lot, but at the same time that is 600lbs of sugar in sweetness terms, or $1200 in value (excluding bulk discounts) which ends up saving you $1150. And, lets be honest, when will you ever use 600lbs of sugar? Even 300lbs (8oz or 1/2lb pure sucralose) feels like a lifetime of sugar. Just don't go trying to make things with artificial sweeteners, or you need other additives just to replace the "feel" that basic sugar gives. Also, a small 12-14oz spread container (like pb, jelly, almond butter, cookie butter, etc.) works perfectly as a container if paired with a little spoon... like the littlest, tiniest spoon because even barely having a spec of the sweetener on your finger feels like you took a spoonful or more of sugar. If you wanted to carry some with you, don't use a shaker, not unless you are making a pitcher of whatever you are drinking... I would use mini/small liquid travel bottle and add the sweetener beforehand, making a solution so you could base your sweetness in drops. Trying to bring a 5mg scoop with you and a container would be more noticeable in public anyway... I would use around a 3-5oz plastic, not silicone, bottle. The squeezy silicone might work fine with a less concentrated solution, but at the same time, tiny versions of those are not cheap and larger ones would look weirder in public. Also, if you have to get a multi-pack, just store them around. One in your purse/pocket, one in the car glove-box, one by the coffee maker, one at work, etc. Or try different levels, though this would be easier to test with a bowl/cup and a dropper and slowly adding sweetener until the drops reach the desired sweetness and stopping there and filling the bottles up.Anyway, sorry about the wall of text... I'm a sucralose fan now!

Forget Splenda, this stuff is great!

I was really ticked off when I learned that the maltodextrin that is 98% of the sweetener you get with Splenda causes a GI reponce the same as sugar. I feel like if I am going to the trouble of getting a zero calorie sweetener, I don't want my blood sugar reacting as if it were sugar. I mean, most of us using a zero cal option also care about glucose levels. So I looked into pure Sucralose and have been very happy! The taste is better then Splenda. I think it tastes less artificial and just sweet, not weird sweet. It is crazy sweet, you truly only need a tiny bit to sweeten things. I am using it mostly to sweeten plain Greek yogurt so that I control the level of sweetness and calories in it. I have used it in oatmeal, tea, flavored water, and hot chocolate. It has been great. You use such a tiny amount that this bag, despite its small size, lasts a long time! I think it is a better value than Splenda.

Pure sucralose without the fillers

Always wanted pure sucralose since I found out it was the sweetener in Splenda, but was not happy that you had to add all that bulk into the packets or those bags full of filler. I put a tip of a teaspoon in my tea and with lemon it made it taste like my true southern sweet tea by lipton that has sucralose as it''s sweetener that I used to use. I have not been able to find the southern sweet tea bags with sucralose lately so I wanted to get the pure sucralose as splenda is so expensive and loaded with fillers I didn't want. It tastes great, just like real sugar if you get the amount perfect. Not too much, not too litt.e.

Extremely Bitter

Extremely bitter. Not usable. Stevia and Monk Fruit have a little bitter aftertaste but they are fine. This one takes bitterness to a whole new level.

Great value for the price

I have been very happy with this product. Far cheaper than buying splenda packets on a regular basis. I add it to a container and dilute it with water for usage. Lasts me around a year for my needs.

Great quality.Packaging is sustainable but would have preferred a smaller 100% plastic pouch. The waxy paper pouch just doesn't feel airtight enough? Maybe it is? Also a small bag of desiccant would be nice because this much Sucralose will last me a long time.

It's fine. Could use better packaging, though.

The stuff is so sweet, and I tend to get it all over my hands when removing it from the bag.

Very happy with this sucralose powder.

I use this for my coffee & tea. It was a good price for the amount, and should last me a LONG time. I use a scale and measure 8 grams of powder, mix it with 30ml of heated propylene glycol (lasts MUCH longer than using water, which can spoil), put it in a needle-nose plastic dropper bottle, and I'm good to go for months. 6 drops in my huge mug of tea or coffee, instead of the IMPOSSIBLE task of trying to put a microscopic amount of powder to taste! It's great.
