Have a pair of the coaxial versions in the rear, with a subwoofer behind the rear seat. Have used the whole system with a variety of different amps over time along with a double din Pioneer digital head unit. These speakers aren't of the same caliber that most of the highly engineered Focal seperates are. They are nicely made for sure, but the thats largely irrelevant when it comes to sound quality. These speakers need a ton of clean power to make them work. I've used Kicker, Pioneer and Crunch amps with them. They seem to like the Crunch 900.4 amp the best, in terms of tightness and clarity. The other amps have similar power rating as well. The tweeters are a tiny bit gnarly, and can vaporize your ears if not placed appropriately. The mid bass drivers get the job done, but can get out of control at higher volumes and become muddy bordering on distorted. The Pioneer Class D amp (800x4) caused them to become muddy at nearly any volume, which was a disappointment. This doesn't happen nearly as much with the Crunch amp. All in all, they are decent for the price, but they do fall apart when you push them. Review: Sound great for the price - I used to have Focal Utopias in my old car (They went with it when I sold it). I did not want to spend the amount of money that I had previously, so I thought I'd give these speakers a go. They sound great paired with a set of 5.25 Auditor RIP components in the back all powered by a Kenwoon eXcelon amp.
