Critique of Judgement (Oxford World's Classics)

Challenging concepts, words, and writing style to understand but well worth the effort. Reading Kant is like walking through a thickly wooded forest where slowly the different species of trees, plants, and other life are revealed. If you are curious about understanding, reason, and judgement Critique of Judgement is the source to study.

It is part of Immanuel Kant's great oeuvre, a masterpiece which reconnects him to the A-edition of the Critique of Pure Reason. He had been scolded by shallow thinkers with such loud voices that he felt compelled to compose the B-edition tu avoid some ot his psychological arguments. Of course, no one can separate psychology, or any science,, from metaphysics, in this case of his transcendental kind. So, it is good to know that he did not abandon his initial conception, that we may glean again in the introduction to the Critique of Judgment Power (the better translation of his title).

What is to doubt with Kant's Critique? Anyone interested in buying this product, I presume, would have working philosophical knowledge that I can only repeat what they know about this work. What is noteworthy about this product is its printing. It has been couple weeks I started reading this, and I am indeed not a reader good for book conditions, that I can never resell the book that I made up to the end, but it is quite unusual for the book's condition to be this bad at this point. The cover is peeling off that I had to duck tape it, as I have 150 pages left and have to spend at least a month in this book. I doubt whether I would finish this book without actually putting some work fixing these problems.

You can't beat Kant when it comes to great thought.

A far easier read than Critique of Pure Reason!

The original Critique of Judgment included two parts: the one which is presently offered, and the Critique of Teleological Judgment; this latter is the second half of the Critique of Judgment. I just bought this item hoping to receive the whole thing. Alas, it seems the second part is not here. All or nothing, that's what I say.

Because Kant is such an important writer, whose thought continues to have an overbearing weight on academia and life today, is not the only reason you should read this excellent edition of the Critique of Judgement: it is because his reasoning is so lucid and superb, so incredibly persuasive, and so clear. This translation demonstrates Kant's astounding ability to reason to perfection so that everything he says seems obvious, whilst also not at all reading like a translation. This is a remarkable work which every serious student should read.

Talking about the product, delivered in good condition. I've been using it for 2 months now. Good pasting, and nice, readable font size. Overall a good product to buy. :) Now talking about the content, not an easy read. Takes time to grasp what it says (haven't finished reading yet).
