This is such a great product! A 100% authentic Mathania mirch. The iconic colour, almost sweet yet pungent/hot flavour, typical long bodied chilli with low seed content that can easily be extracted for a more intense burst of colour once they are made into a paste, crispy and fully dried - this mirch checks all of the boxes in it's quality. Quantity is also accurate and as promised. The packaging could have been a little better, but it's okay for the price. There are brands who charge you more for just their packaging and branding. Over all, an absolute delight!

For the past 5-6 years, I have been purchasing this product from AMAZON and I must say that it is one of the best Mathania chillies I have ever tasted-full of authentic flavor and perfectly balanced heat! The packaging is a plus too: the bag is thick and sturdy, ensuring fresh chillies.

Beautiful aroma filled the room while the package. Just what I've heard of Mathania red chili. Colors are bright red. All Chilli are almost equal in size. Mathania red Chilli are actually agricultural product of Rajasthan and are famed for its aroma and taste. Colour and sizes are completely different from Chillis available in West Bengal. There are over 400 families of Chilli available worldwide and more than 20 species are found I India. This is not mathania chillies and are mixed with normal chillies. However quality is good.

Super long colour is great and quantity is also great.clean and no mold or any other dirt particle and I haven't taste or cook something with it so cant tell about heat level or how spicy it is.

Had ordered it in Sep 2020 for famous "laal maans" recipe. I was doubtful on using that much amount of red chilli (because of the past experiences in other brands which ruined my dish & mood). Smell was mostly like the usual red chillies BUT it was actually good. Got the nice reddish color in the meat plus a different flavour. Little costly but overall worked as expected and hence found it genuine. Edit: I used it twice later with same amount of meat & mirch and same recipe. It came out much spicier than first time. Seems there's mix of regular spice as well (I have my doubts). Reduced 2 stars. Color wise it's coming good but taste wise apart from first time, it was too spicy. Second Edit: This is "VERY IMPORTANT". Kindly use the chillies after removing the seed and thereafter use them with the mentioned quantity. Seems seeds are adding the additional flavour. Colorwise it's still good and authentic. Have used them twice without seeds and it worked as expected.

I don’t think the entire package has 5% of mathania chilli and the rest of normal red chilli. I prepared Laal MaaS with 1kg of goat. As per the quantity I should have soaked 20 Chili’s but I chose to soak 12 Chili’s even that made it super hot. Pls stop robbing customers and misleading them. This is the last time I will buy anything from this seller. Others pls beware. Buy at your own risk.
