Wavlink AC1200 IEEE802.11ac Dual Band household Broadband Wireless Router Signal Booster With 4x5dBi High Gain External Antennas

I have had this router set off to the side for a while now as a backup, and I finally decided to set it up last week and take it for a test run. I have to say I'm surprised that a company like Wavlink would let a pile of junk like this slip through quality control.I'll start with the good: the router does work. Sort of. It seems to be quickly getting more issues. The wifi works well, when it does work. Anything that is physically connected to the router with a cable stays connected as well.Now for the negative: This router seems to be quickly getting more and more issues. The 5G wifi will randomly quit working, sometimes multiple times a day. I tried changing settings or finding a possible reason for this, but this router doesn't even have an automatic restart function in the settings, so there literally is no reason for that to be happening. When I attempted to find a firmware update for this router on Wavlink's website, they didn't even have it listed as a product in their historical list. Almost makes me wonder if this is an actual Wavlink product. Also the router seems to be running pretty hot for just doing basic low-demand tasks. I don't think it will last very much longer.Bottom line is if you're looking for a cheap option for wifi, go with something else. Belkin, Tenda, and Netgear all have some fairly decent entry level options that would blow this router away.

Worked great about a week to ten days and now must constantly be reset to get a signal. Shipping it back!

I put it up the day i got it and all of a sudden it stopped working. I restarted it and did everything i could to try and make it work but nothing happened.Dont buy it its a not a good product i had to return it

Bought this product because it advertised fast simultaneous dual-band wifi at a cheap price. It was dead from the box. I tried for a few hours to make it work to no avail. Other routers worked fine. Would not buy again.

This thing works GREAT - when it actually works! It puts out a very strong signal on both bands. However, it completely loses Internet connectivity several times a day for no apparent reason. I'm using it as a repeater for the downstairs wireless router - which never loses a 'net connection. When the Internet connectivity on this thing dies, it lasts for about 30 seconds and then works fine again for several hours. No problems with anything nearby interfering with the signal, and I have moved it to several locations as a test. There's no rhyme or reason; it just drops the 'net connection and reconnects on a random basis.

Communication 5g of this product does not work properly , it loses signal constantly with devices after restarts back to work for some time. I want to cancel my purchase.

Wish I could give this p.o.s. A negative star or 2. Always has to be reset
