Allows you to go really low on volume.
I use this with an epiphone valve jr head with bit o mods and 4x12 cab. The attenuators allows me to drive the tubes in the head at volume low enough for practice and / or smaller clubs. Great tone and easy to use.

couldn't be more satisfied. I use this on a Fender 57 Deluxe
if you have a lower wattage amp, and are looking at purchasing an attenuator,..just buy this one. it has infinitely variable control, and the thing is very small. couldn't be more satisfied. I use this on a Fender 57 Deluxe.

Great sounds with a 5 watt Tweed Champ. Not so with a 12 watt Princeton Reverb.
Sublime when used between a 5w Tweed Champ and 10" alnico blue speaker cab. Since the Champ only has a volume control and no tone knob, the MicroMass can balance out lows and add sparkle for a super sweet singing sound. However, the MicroMass is disappointing when used with my handwired Princeton Reverb clone: For some reason that combination sounds so flat it is unusable. Maybe needs the next larger Weber attenuator?

Good
This works well with low wattage non-master volume class A amps. And same amps with one or two tone knobs. Use bypass to see how well it works.

Really good product!
I'm a harmonica player. I bought this to attenuate the volume on my 5 watt Sonic Pipe Windy City harmonica amp. The amp is great, but it's loud when pushed. I have a small studio in my house. The MicroMass enables me to dime the amp and the mike and get GREAT, fat tube tone and breakup (Chicago style!) without annoying the rest of the household. An added perk (for a harp player) is a significant reduction in feedback issues when the amp is pushed. The Lows-Mids and Mids-Highs, as well as the Brightness cut switch enable a great deal of tonal variation. I purchased the attenuator harness from Weber also b/c the speaker in the combo is not attached to the chassis with a 1/4 inch jack. Very easy to hookup. I couldn't be happier! Highly recommended.

It's a good attenuator, but for me it's not quite convenient to change the attenuation amount because you have to turn two dials to keep the same tone. Also, the low-mids dial has a jump at around 1.
