Deeply moving, well worth reading
The editorial reviews above by Publishers Weekly and Library Journal don't do justice to Jerry Jampolsky's greatness of spirit in so candidly sharing his journey. His courage and faith in revealing the utterly dysfunctional legacy of his childhood that he carried beneath his facade as a successful psychiatrist help millions of us to face and heal the same in ourselves. And he gives us the most effective road map for that healing available, in my opinion as a student of A Course in Miracles. For this reason, I give Jerry's autobiography 5 stars even though I wish his editor had been more assertive in asking him to replace his repetitive reiterations of Course principles with more of his potent personal stories that illustrate those principles much more enjoyably and cogently. I humbly read through the didactic parts because I know that the Course is so challenging and our egos so cunning that no amount of repetition is too much. But it was much more interesting and edifying to breeze through his personal stories. I thank Jerry with all my heart for helping me to awaken with this book and with his others (Love is Letting Go of Fear, Goodbye to Guilt, and One Person Can Make a Difference), which I also highly recommend.

Interesting, biographical
If you are a student of Course in Miracles, you will really enjoy Mr. Jampolsky's books, and this one tells his personal story. It will resonate with anyone truly ready to let go of self-will and embrace love and joy.

Such a good book!
This book is based on the Course in Miracles and how it transformed an atheist into a believer and lover of God. He shares many of his struggles. The book is so worth reading!!

Excellent read!!
Reading my third book by Dr Jampolsky. Excellent account of life's travels, how to learn to love again and avoid the fear that has paralyze us. My love one has struggled with alcoholism. I wish he would read. Perhaps some day. Good therapy for life! I highly recommend to whomever has struggled with addiction, fear or anger. There is another way.
