The part that holds my key broke off. Would I have to still get a new key cut or can I transfer the key and components into this one?

You can move your old key and electronics to new one. There are videos on utube to show you how.

How do you install the battery negative port?

If you use the correct battery replacement (CR2032) with the "+" side up, the "-" will automatically make contact unless it's damaged or missing

Can i have a key with gmc logo?

Haven't seen one for Buick or GMC. The Chevy Logo works just fine for the Buick. I use it when going back and forth to work. Don't mind banging it up. The OEM key fobs stay in pristine condition( Have 2 OEM) bought an extra OEM when my original OEM case failed. Used the internals(from the original OEM) for the Chevy key fob I bought on Amazon. Quality is good, but not as good as OEM. Would buy again.

How do you install the battery negative port?

My issue was that the button that flips the key in and out broke and, what I did was take the inside of my key fob part out of the old case and placed it inside the new case. If you are having any issues with installing the battery negative port, refer to some youtube videos as I have done.

Didn't match perfectly with the mechanical key, if the spring is armed the key doesn't stay in ,therefore I let the spring loose

This fits perfectly. There is a tiny screw hidden by tape on the back. Remove the tape to open the device.

This worked for my 2014 Chevy Equinox and my wife's 2014 Equinox too. She doesn't have the auto hatch back, so one less button version. Easy to assemble. BUT, a bit of a challenge to demo the existing, original, key fob. I used a Dremel to cut away and break the fob in pieces so as not to crack the existing electronics board. Not impossible and well worth the gamble of trying out a $12 potential solution. Just be patient. Still only took about 45 minutes taking my time. Oh, I also ordered a $12 punch kit. Well worth the added cost in ease and time savings. Same weight and feel as the factory original. Look at some YouTube videos for help.
