really great solid fast machine. it's a great heat press that feels like it will be with me for years. good heavy weight to it. NOT cheap crap, that brakes as soon as you get it, at least for me. I have used it on 3 different types of plastic zip lock bags, poly painters drop cloth and other poly bags made of the same stuff, and the light plastic that is on those Mexican bulk spice bags of a grocery store all made a strong seal. capable of turning up side down.

I bought this impulse sealer so I could package some of the dehydrated foods I make to send out with family from time to time. I wanted something that would keep the food safe for them for camping trips etc. The mylar bags are used with oxygen absorbers, so that bugs and air won't destroy the food. This is a pretty great machine. It seals fairly large sized bags very quickly. There are multiple heat settings to use, depending on the thickness of the bags. I did have an issue with one end of the heating element that appeared to get overheated and then it wouldn't work. I changed the element and then it worked fine. It doesn't really come with instructions amounting to anything, but all in all I like it a lot. It costs $82, which I think is kind of pricey, but if you can use it a lot, it is worth it.

Delivery was prompt. Packaging was impressive. Quality and performance: FIRST CLASS!!! After my first short run packaging effort I was so-o-o-o impressed. This was a replacement unit for one that died after several years of service. I turned the heat dial on the new AIE-300 to the same setting as my old one (not an AIE sealer) and sealed the bag. Oops! I burned it. I then turned the dial down a bit to a more responsible setting and life was not just "good," it was GREAT! Would I buy another? Yes, in a minute.
